Tool Headline Coachella

According to this website, Tool are headlining the Coachella Valley Music & Arts Festival in California, apparently playing on the 30th of April. Too bad about the rest of the line-up….. Looks like those fans who were expecting the Smashing Pumpkins to reform for the festival will be bitterly dissappointed. Thanks to arium on Toolarmy for the tip.

86 Days?

A new member on Toolarmy posted on the 29th of January: 86 days The funny thing is, his name is psuedo-xydenature, the same as on Adam’s Myspace page, and this is their one and only message.  Read into this what you will, but that would put the new Tool CD release on the 25th of April, or ANZAC Day for you non-Australians (and Kiwi’s). Here’s some other rampant speculation, could… Read More »86 Days?

Goooonnnnneeeeee…..

Looks like the vinyl has been and gone, some 10 hours+ after the time it was supposed too.  Needless to say many people are unhappy with that.  The reality is, that given a limited amount of vinyl (presumably 100 or so) and potentially 1000 people wanting it, there’s going to be a lot of dissappointment. People also complain of the slowness when such a sale is put on the site. … Read More »Goooonnnnneeeeee…..

Henry Rollins on 2006 Big Day Out

Found alt.music.tool this quote from Henry Rollins regarding the line up for the Big Day Out, currently heading around Australia: I found out something interesting tonight. Apparently, this tour was to have a bit of a different line-up. Tool was supposed to headline the thing with The Pixies going on before them. The White Stripes were third on the bill. The Stooges were a last minute add. I wonder what… Read More »Henry Rollins on 2006 Big Day Out

Roskilde Announcement Imminent

Tool are heavily rumoured to be touring Europe in mid-2006.  iamurmama on Toolnavy claimed that in today’s (24-Jan-06?) issue of the Danish paper Politiken, there was a note claiming that Tool will be playing at Roskilde Festival in Denmark (June 29 – July 2).  Now, whether or not we decide to trust someone with a user name like I Am Your Mama, is an issue, however according to the Roskilde… Read More »Roskilde Announcement Imminent
