The drugs and hookers Tool take on tour with them don’t come free…..

Both albums are monsters!
HOLY ENLIGHTENMENT BATMAN! First time hearing the album today and I have absolutely NO CLUE as to where these tone deaf naysayers who heard the album already were coming from. Wonderful piece of music.
I have heard this album like 2 weeks now, bought my copy on Saturday too. It is a good album, but to be honest I was hoping for something brilliant after 5 years. It’s good, but not great..too much filler and it’s not at all that coherent. Like with lateralus I am a tad disappointed, because I don’t feel like hearing it again. It’s not one of those albums that make you want to listen repeatedly. The only albums where I went WOAH! and totally overwhelmed me was when I first heard Aenima and COG’s The New Normal.
I bought it at midnight
The album is fuckin amazing. Tool really went back to their roots with this one, and even has a pink floyd/ zepplin tint to it as well. After finding out most of the song’s meanings the album becomes more personal. Wikipedia has some clues about what the album relates to for all you intrigued listeners….
i give up. this new album is an atrocity. i’ve put the cd with the 1000 eyes on it (gee they really gotta get over this eye fixation thingy) back into its fancy casing. and i’ve put it away for good. no more shall it torment my ears and heart. no more!

i might very well sell this album. highly unlikely that anyone would buy it… for starters its too light to be a doorstopper… its too hard and ridget to wipe ones ass with.

Just got the CD, Downloaded before it came out. I really think that it is a good CD. There is a lot of quality music on it that I find to be a lot better than the pop. crap that is out there today. Arrangements are fantastic. Go to Sleep.

I really think that a lot of people kind of fucked themselves by downloading the album first. When listening to it now,in full, it makes so much more sense. I really enjoy it, can’t wait to see them in Boston.

As for 10k days, it is an excellent piece of work which says F(ck off to all the other bands that try to imitate TOOL. Good luck trying on this one. I enjoy the album, but I take the lyrics as stabs against the more ape-like tool fans and designer occultniks. I’m not saying that’s the message or close to the message that Tool are trying to communicate, but listening to the album this way makes me laugh to the point of breathlessness. I find myself wondering why i’m reading other peoples comments on 10k days… As with all experiences of any art form, appreciation (or otherwise – jonas) is entirely subjective and arguing like kids over the quality of an album is not going to have any impact on someones views on it… No, in fact, f@ck it… i did really like the album but jonas has convinced me that it sucks… thats the effect the superior intellectual power of an I.T. guy can have on you I guess [leaves forum with a sense of awe for jonas]
Why does Jonas Lindgren insist on spending countless hours bashing TOOL? I mean, he writes these long reviews in Amazon, which he posts more than once, and sits in here and goes on and on about how much he hates TOOL fans and TOOL itself.
