Tonights Red Light Special on Channel V (An Australia Cable Music Channel) is on Tool tonight, and apparently starts at 6:30 EST. No idea what this entails (Interviews, Videos, what?) but I’m sure it’ll be (kinda) worth it…..

wats this stuff about a puzzle on toolband???
Just watched the special. Wasn’t that great at all. The interviewer was pretty bad, and i don’t think Maynard and Danny were that keen on being there. They played a couple of their videos, but they also played other random videos. Their Lateralus special was alot better.
Yeah, I saw parts of it, saw Parabola, Schism and they were going to play Hush (missed it).
They had that bug eyed guy from Australian Idol interviewing them, asking questions about would they make just an instrumental album, where Maynard would use his voice, but not actually sing, use it as another instrument or something!?!
He also joked that if the Humane Society went to Adams place they might get a shock. The boys weren’t really amused.
Yeah, those guys from Channel V are fucking idiots. I didn’t really expect much from the show…
what about the fact in a 1 hour TOOL special, there was about 8 minutes total interview footage, and 3 songs… channel v managed to fill out the hour with a healthy wad of advertisements and about 5 songs from other bands????
should have called it 5 minutes with Tool.
Yeah, and that presenters a bit of a tool huh
They had a song by Fallout boy!!
I knew there was a reason I don’t watch Channel V anymore…
Channel V have always been anti rock as far as I can see. That lisping dork who hosts the techno show once claimed that all Tool sounded the same while reviewing the video for Parabol/Parabola. Yeah, like a anyone who listens to techno has the right to call any other form of music samey.
Saying all Techno no songs are samey has just as much value as saying all Tool songs sound samey….
Unless you *really* get into a genre or band, it’s always going to sound the same, and to be quite frank, for anyone who’s listen exclusively to Tool singles, those songs sure are samey.
You guys just made me think of a techno cover of Aenema by The PQM Project.Something a bit differant and not a bad house track.
