Mormons Love Tool!
Well maybe not, but Dan Nailen from the Salt Lake Tribune does, and has posted a review of the recent Tool show in Utah. The review is nothing exciting, but there’s some nice pictures accompanying it. Enjoy!

For all you Melvins fans, here’s a great interview with Buzz from lambgoat.com. In case you only want to read the Tool related bit, here you go: What’s your view on Tool? I know you’re pretty close with some of those guys, but I’m just confused. I’m not talking about their music, but really, their morphing image. How did they go from this band who was writing mock-satanic/industrial songs with… Read More »Melvins Interview
ojisan_neo from Toolarmy today posted some great pictures from Tool’s recent show at The Gorge near Seattle (I think). There’s some amazing pictures there of the new set being used for the US Arena tour. Here’s one: For those wanting to be surprised by the set if/when it reaches Australia, I’d suggest you don’t follow the link….
While not directly Tool related, here’s an interesting article regarding the legality of scalping in Australia, and what governments, Ebay and sporting bodies are (and aren’t) doing to combat it. Personally I think the easiest answer is to limit the amount of ticket sales. Nothing will ever stop people reselling tickets for a profit, but if you limit the amount people can obtain, then you can at least give more… Read More »Scalpers
Mrmanback from Toolarmy posted this link to the recent New Zealand TV interview with Adam and Danny. Turn on your television!
There’s been a lot of new members since the Australian shows have been announced. A big welcome to all of you, however I sense that some of you have felt a bit frustrated that your comments haven’t appeared straight away, to the popint where some of you have repeatedly click submit and ended up commenting several times. Just to elaborate on the membership, moderation and comment policies on Fourtheye: Fourtheye… Read More »A Gentle Reminder….
According to a post from one of the JJJ staff on their forums, more tickets will be going on sale for the Melbourne and Sydney shows. Expect these releases to be pretty small though, and probably just as chaotic, so while you should get excited and prepared, don’t expect to just waltz in a grab them either… There will also be dates announced in other states. There’s no indication if… Read More »More Tickets and Australia shows?
I’ll just go right into it. ‘ Not feeling very artsy right now. ISIS: I wanted to like Isis, I really did, but after giving them the chance I trust they deserved (listening to their first two songs–couldn’t tell you what they were), I found that I just wasn’t into it. It’s hard to feel a band on a spiritual level while their playing live, like Isis want, when you… Read More »Guest Reviewer: Panoply
Sales of the Tool concerts yesterday have made it into the Herald Sun today. The article talks about the tickets selling quick and getting up on Ebay. It also talks about the possibility of more shows. Personally, I think these extra shows are just the Big Day Out dates, but for the sake of those who missed out, I hope they’re not. Thanks to Nemesis for the link.
Thanks to Reg for this link where Kirk Hammet from Metallica talks about playing with Tool in Hawaii. Here’s an excerpt: When it came time for me to play I was so locked into the vibe that I started really quietly while building the solo. By the last third of the solo I turned on Adam’s delay setting and played some really high notes that felt like the top of… Read More »Kirk talks about playing with Tool
