Was it worth it?
I think NOT…….

Can I get a Platinum Ænima from somewhere?

Since I’m presuming you don’t have one, your opinion means nothing to me or anyone who purchased one.
If you have an issue with Tool’s stance on selling merchandise, why don’t you just come out and say so rather than making vague statements about items you haven’t seen not being worth the money…
Here’s a couple of ideas for you to use in future comments:

4th point is that their last great album was Ænima.
December 13, 2006 at 5:04 pm
How much were they again?
December 13, 2006 at 5:36 pm
i want one!
tell me where i can get one, and how much!
December 13, 2006 at 6:57 pm
They cost US$200 from memory, and are only available for Toolarmy members.
Personally, I think it’s kinda over priced, but still worth it to me…
December 13, 2006 at 7:28 pm
If you’re both a loaded and a lunatic. I don’t see why not.
December 13, 2006 at 7:54 pm
I don’t know about the loaded bit, but lunatic – yes….
Then again, there’s nothing mentally unbalanced about trolling is there?

Well it seems as though Doors has transformed into a new shape by the name of bakfromdadead… Yes, Aenima is a great album but I think Lateralus is also a great album. It’s all good.
Anyway, my platinum Lateralus arrived just yesterday and, to be honest, it actually exceeded my expectations. Sometimes when you look forward to the things the anticipation itself can often lead to disappointment when what you are waiting for actually arrives.
It is a simple design but it looks really good, especially in a well-lit room. I know $200 seems a bit steep but when you atttempt to calculate how much something similar would cost to produce on its own, its not such a bad price.
I have a friend with a Toolarmy account. He’s not gonna order one so if anyone’s desperate to get one just let me know etc.
December 13, 2006 at 9:46 pm
^Actually, ignore what I said above about ordering one via me. If you really want one and are willing to fork out the money, I’m sure you can afford to join up in the first place. Sorry.
Anyway, I’m looking forward to January – not too long now!

akfromdadead : why are you like that , if you now dont answer or be like you know .. i you dont know find out maybe you will understand what you are and then not remember the rest . You you dont give a shit thats because you resemble one .

Even if I was rich I wouldn’t buy one. But it looks nice.
Plateralus, how awesome is that! What clever hungarians.

does anyone else get sick of people going on how aenima was tool’s last great album. yeah, aenima was great, but i would be severely disappointed if tool just made an aenima #2 and #3 and so on… i think lateralus has been so far their most seemless album from start to finish, with each track following the previous one and leading into the next as if the whole album is just one song
nice plaque by the way

“Disappointed if tool just made an aenima #2”
They tried too with lateralus..but failed miserably.
No one’s askign fro an Aenima #2, just a leap forward or a greater progression from that album. Yet to hear one…
Lateralus was a regression back not to the mid 90’s but to the mid 70’s.

Define progression? And why does a band have to “progress” to make a good album?

“Is it possible I am actually finished writing and recording a new nine inch nails record? Apparently so. We begin mixing in January!
Juggling fifteen all-new tracks around. Testing sequences. No leftovers from “with teeth”. Highly conceptual. Quite noisy. Fucking cool.”
– Trent Reznor
FUCK YEAH!!!! This is the best news ever. Quite noisy he says? omfg. I cannot wait. Can’t. Wait. Goddamn, I won’t be able to sleep now. Omg. I could cry. I can’t even fucking… Jesus. I’m happy. You don’t even understand. Crying.

Hmm… After With Teeth, my expectations aren’t quite as high. I did like it, but it just didn’t leave the same feeling as The Downward Spiral or The Fragile. I’ll still buy it about 20 seconds after it comes out though…
December 16, 2006 at 12:26 am
Yeah, I felt the same way about with_teeth.
“I will say one thing though: it isn’t cut from the same cloth as with_teeth” -trent

Thanks Pano, I’m glad to read that…
My favourite thing from with teeth was The Hand That Feeds (Ruff Mix) and it wasn’t even on the album.
