My mate IllegalStatic from Xbox Live tells me that apparently the Japanese Noise band Melt Banana will be support Tool on shows from the 29th of May to the 23rd of June. No confirmation of this that I can see, but will let you know when I get something more official.

Nope! I just saw them on the 16th in Cape Girardeau and Melt-Banana opened for them. melt-banana was amazing! when Tool played Lateralus, the guitarist and drummer for melt-banana came out and jammed with them. it was a way better concert then when i last saw tool at Oklahoma city a couple weeks ago. Kinski played there but they kinda sucked. melt-banana would blow them off the stage.
