You should all buy one and support Fourtheye imo!

Like I said in chat, if I get that setlist at Fairfax, I will buy one instead of a tour shirt =P

  8. Am I the only one who likes those songs? I happen to enjoy listening to them.

I tried to imagine a “lame” setlist, but I can’t. The same setlist every night doesn’t bother me because I do not attend every show of their tour (job, bills, commitments to loved ones et al). Therefore, to me, I only hear this setlist once every 2 years, which really isn’t that redundant. Also, since it takes them ~5 years to make an album, every third show would included newer songs, newer visuals, ect. As long as they come through Chicago, I’ll probably be happy, even if Maynard gets sick every time he comes through here, which he does.

This is the lamest setlist I could think of:

    1. (-) Ions
    2. Disgustipated (1.5 hour version)

I would probably STILL be happy. Am I the only one?

  9.
hahaha… I’d buy one, but not for $29.
I noticed that the set list included Aenima on the last two shows so they are changing it up a bit. Hope they continue to do so but even if they don’t TOOL is always worth the money. The new album is coming and I’m really looking forward to it. I won’t knock my favorite band. They’ve earned the right to build a set list however they choose. As far as the shirt in question on this site goes, I’ll just save my money for a tour shirt and a poster. It’s gonna be an awesome day in Chicago! Peace my friends.

  10. This t-shirt is really dumb. What’s with everyone’s sense of entitlement? The songs aren’t yours in the first place so enjoy what you get from the band when you get it. Don’t like the set list – don’t go to the shows. Saw the Phoenix show Tuesday night and it ROCKED. True fans don’t get bitchy about TOOL shows just as long as they keep playing shows and making new music.

So I guess you didn’t read the part where I mentioned this was a joke?

So a true fan of Tool accepts what their given and doesn’t question or rebel? Doesn’t embrace the random? Doesn’t question authority? Genius!

Let me get this straight, to be a “true fan of Tool” you need to ridicule their shows and second guess every damn thing they do? Wow! With fans like you, who needs assholes!? I think what’s going on here is everyone is interpreting Tool like Christians do the bible, we’re going to have 972 different Tool based denominations that do nothing but berate eachother for misinterpreting Maynard’s lyrics. Has it ever occurred to any of you “Sons of Literal Interpretation” that although the set list hasn’t drastically changed in a couple years, that their live show is still dense enough to gain a whole new experience every time? I know that every time I see Tool, I am able to define my experience in a new way. You can watch the band, you can watch the visuals, you can watch the drunk passed out guy rolling around in vomit in the seat next to you. You can watch Danny Carey the whole set through and still have an amazing time. Why don’t we all try stepping out of our typical Tool concert going experience and try to find something new that you didn’t notice before. OR, you can bring along the lyrics to the songs and make sure Maynard is saying them correctly. And if he doesn’t…please make sure to come to Fourtheye to talk about how much you can’t stand it when Maynard forgets a lyric. Either way; pull the sour grapes out of your ass and enjoy your time!!!

  14. I don’t care what a “true fan” is meant to do, I’m not trying to compete with other Tool fans, I simply like their music and along with 99% of people want to hear OTHER songs when I go to see them. There is no element of surprise like you get with say NIN (or any other band for that matter) which really takes the edge off the show. Obviously it’s still worth going to and watching. I’m sure if they had shows where they played 4 songs everyone would still go, but is that acceptable? Stop worshiping Tool dude, they aren’t gods.

  15. The set list does not include the Pink Floyd song they performed.

‘on the run’ was played after rosetta stoned and before flood.

    (in dallas anyway)

The shirt is funny. I’m not complaining about the setlist. Would I been happy to of seen it changed up a bit, yes. Am I going to b*tch that it wasnt, no. As long as they put on a good show I’m happy. But like I said, the shirt is funny and as hellboy wrote it was for those with a sense of humor.

I simply meant it’s funny, just not $30 funny…. lol

  17. I thought the shirt was paying out the fact that you spend 40 dollars on a shirt at the gig and all you get is a setlist on the back?.. irony anyone?.. or sense of humour?
