Blair has released the September 2010 newsletter, and it contains a mix of Tool and non-Tool news. It largely talks about artists Richard S. Shaver and Stanislav Szukalski, and largely reads as an advertisement for an upcoming exhibition. Adam and Danny are noted to be admirers and collectors of their work.
There is also a paragraph of Tool news, that appears to be obscured, perhaps by some kind of code:

If anyone has any insight into that then let me know. I don’t see much interesting there. Adam appears to be working on whatever the hell he’s been working on for a couple of years now it seems. Danny is busy working with his side projects, and Justin appears to be doing nothing (though probably something), and we all know what Maynard is up to…

Blair mentions “Deros” in this Newsletter… Deros are the evil subterranean dwellars from the Richard S. Shaver “Amazing Stories” science fiction magazine’s “Shaver Mystery” which i know Adam is a fan of. Shaver also spoke of an ancient language called “Mantong” in which each sound had a hidden meaning and by applying a certain formula to any word you could decode a secret meaning to any word or phrase. I’m sure this is Blair’s attempt at this…. possibly a way of letting us know that Adam is making progress with his comic book project.

(From wikipedia) Ray Palmer creates a belt tool from what was initially depicted as white dwarf star matter, which allows him to shrink down to subatomic size. Furthermore, he develops a special costume that he can wear at most times that only becomes visible when he shrinks significantly. In addition, he develops new equipment that allows him to instantly alter his molecular density to whatever degree he desires.
Interesting to see the white dwarf star reference, since he’s always talking about the sirius mystery too…

This is a tougher one, this could be interpreted as Danny is still changing or re arranging his drum parts for the new album, in an attempt to polish the songs before recording, or is changing a few things during the recording going on now.
ADAM – T-STRONGLY INTEGRATIVE———- T-INTEGRATION. GROWTH
Integrative: combining and coordinating diverse elements into a whole
Integration – The act or process of making whole or entire
These words suggest Adam has written most of the album, and is now in the process or piecing the songs together prior to recording.
JUSTIN (on the other hand) – BALDERDASH
Balderdash – senseless talk or writing; nonsense
This word suggests Justin is having difficulty writing the bass lines for the new album.

This reference puzzles me for some reason, as I cannot discernibly make any connection to Tool with it. Perhaps its meaningless.

MAYNARD – PUSCIFER will be touring this fall. But what you might not know is that some of the shows will be———- SPIDER, SPY from DER.
Nothing suprising here. While the other 3 are finishing the writing for the new album, Maynard will be on tour with Puscifer. By the time the Puscifer tour wraps up, the music for the new Tool album should be about finished, and Maynard will go in and begin his part.
