According to a recent tweet by Maynard:

We will soon be announcing East Coast and Mid West dates. Hope to get them on sale by mid to late Dec. Merry Holi-things.

I’ve heard plenty of good reviews in regards to the Puscifer gigs, so make sure you check them out when in your area.

The bad news for Tool die-hards is that it appears that not much may be happening in that world.  With Danny on Holidays, and Maynard touring lots, Tool definitely seems to appear on the back burner.  Maybe Blair will give us some hope before Xmas.

Seriously check this show out if you can. Great show. Was at the Dallas show last week.
The meet and greet was not what i had expected, but for Maynard it was exactly the way he has done it in the past. Only a few seconds with him while he signs a cd and hands it to you. Thats it.
But i have to say, i would not have gotten front row center stage seats if i had not done the meet and greet so it was worth it.

This is a show, not a concert. Puscifer is not a band, it is a show. So, keep this in mind if you go see it.
The players change occassionally but at the dallas show the players were: Jeff Freidl; The drummer from Ashes divide as well as the bass player Matt Mcjunkins. Tim Alexander makes an appearance and plays drums as well. Jonny Polonsky  plays guitar, keyboard, and some other instruments. Carina round sings all the female vocal parts and must say she is very hot and is an amazing singer.

They played all the songs from V is for Vigina as well as the new tracks, polar bear, the humbling river, and potions. They also played ’the mission’. I would imagine that each show is a little different as they play each song a little different each time. Tim Alexander and Jeff Freidl swap duties on drums and percussion, so if your lucky you can see Tim play all night rather than on part of the songs like the dallas show.

All in all a great show and a great time! Check it out if you get the chance.

I was at the Dallas show, night one. Like previous posts, this is a show, not a concert. This whow was amazing. Very intimate. The venue only seated 2,000 or 2,400. Didn’t know what to expect after the opening act, neil hamburger, but things turned around once Maynard and the gang hit the stage. Also Carina Round did an outstanding  job on vocals. I would definately recommend catching this show, but don’t expect Tool or APC.

I meant to mention somthing about the opening acts. Neil Hamburger, uncle scratches revival and a third opening act actually rotate on who will open. Not sure what this depends on if it is location or drawing the short straw. Basically i think the opening acts are just a time filler to get across that comedy will be a part of the show. If you happen to catch the show with Neil Hamburger, you will find out fast why he is considered the ‘worst’ comedian on the face of the earth. Not sure about the other openers.

Uncle Scratch is some funny shit if you spent any time in the church. If you grew up pentacostal, or know anything about them, you will be very entertained. I highly recommend checking them out. They will not disappoint!

The openers are definitely not meant to be filler, but you are right about them helping to set the tone. I have watched Neil and USGR every night on the tour, by choice.
Neil Hamburger had his own shows booked up until he joined the tour, or he would have done every show. Uncle Scratch’s Gospel Revival are currently only available on weekends due to some weekday commitments back in their home state of Ohio, or they would have also done every show.
Sweethead (Troy Van Leeuwen’s band) filled in some dates in the PNW when USGR wasn’t available and Neil Hamburger hadn’t yet started the tour.

Cool, the way that Neil hamburger was taken by the crownd in dallas,  it just kind of seemed like he was killing time, but i do agree he was very funny and glad i caught his act. Thanks for filling in how the opening acts were selected for each show.

Was pleasantly surprised when I found you were involved with this Puscifer tour Junior. It’s cheesegreater from tdn. I had a great time at the 2nd day show in Dallas and indeed you guys should check this show out if you can.   The sound quality at the show was absolutely amazing. Hats off to the sound crew. In my recent times seeing Tool I’ve had issues with hearing Maynard in the mix. It was really refreshing hearing him with complete clarity.
The Humbling River was a great closer for the night. I’ve fallen completely in love with that song, and I must say it’s the type of song that comes out of left field from a band like Puscifer. There’s quite an assortment of talented musicians in the band as well. Everything culminated to make an unforgettable show.
Psychedelic, industrial, lounge music makes for a great mix after all.

Hey Junior, do you  know why maynard gathers up everyone’s ID’s before they can proceed with the meet and greet?

There were several theories floating around at the dallas show:

     1.Background checks

    2. Looking for a female to party with after the show.

I kind of figured it was him looking for someone to hang with after the show, since the guys that brought the ID’s back had them in two stacks. One stack for the male ID’s and a stack for the female ID’s.

    just curious…

Here’s hoping I can see “it” for lack of a better word, in Michigan.
Some of my favorite shows are undescript.

Go… Go… Go… If you like to laugh and hear some tunes and AREN’T expecting nothing more than to be entertained. Get a ticket and get ready to have fun.

I’ve seen them with USGR who are just great and finally got a chance to see Neil in Phoenix and i haven’t laughed like that in a while. The guys next to me where i was sitting obviously were expecting Dane Cook.

As for the music goes and i know most people aren’t into the album as much but LIVE it’s a different story. I’ll say it again i enjoyed the Puscifer shows i’ve attended and have had a great time at each one. If they tour by you… Go!
