The Process

Danny, Tool February 9th, 2010

Blair just made a quick update on Toolband & Toolarmy:

Danny will be attending tonight’s battle between the KU Jayhawks and Texas Longhorns in Austin, along with the band’s favorite Texas Ranger. And before boarding the Silver Dillo(?), "yes", that was Paola Kansas transplant Carey eating Texas barbecue with Texas-style rubs and seasonings at Iron Works BBQ this afternoon. Barbecue blasphemy some from the Sunflower State might say. At any rate, Tool’s drummer will return to L.A. tomorrow, so that possibly the ‘process’ can begin in earnest on Wednesday…

Hopefully the ’process’ is what we hope it is…

I imagine what has happened to this point is that they’ve individually, or perhaps in pairs written bits and pieces.  I presume the process is actually throwing them together to create full songs.

One day I’ll come across Danny here in Austin. It seems that a lot of people from the “Tool” network reside here, like Terry Bozzio, among others. I think someone else lived here from King Crimson, too.

    Glad to be in Texas.

I’ll start saving my pennies for the new album now.  I should have 20 or 30 grand by the time it comes out.

Fat chance… I doubt even tool can create a better album than they already did with Aenima, which seems a lifetime ago now
