Blair’s latest book “The Wickedest Books in the World: Confessions of an Aleister Crowley Bibliophile’” is having a launch party at the Cha Cha Lounge in LA on the 23rd of March.  Danny, who wrote the foreword for the book will be at the party, and possibly other Tool members if I’m reading it right.

You will be able to purchase the book on the night, and get it autographed, presumably by a purple marker of some description.  Check Toolband/Toolarmy for more details!

i have never met Blair. but i have read many of his comments, ramblings, reports ect…on the TOOL website. in my opinion, he is pompous, self centered, unappreciative, and unworthy of running the website for the worlds best band. the fact that the toolarmy portion of the site has been down for so long without any real explanation from him is inexcusable. i would never buy or support anything that Blair does.
    BOYCOTT BLAIR!!!!!!!!!!!LOL

    RAAAR!!!  Did that feel good?

I must agree…  He has mastered the art of self indulgence.

He doesn’t come off like that in person.

am i bitter?? god damn right i am! i really enjoyed communicating with other TOOL fans. and although i did get some merch in return, i paid a chunk of money to join the site. it would be very easy for Blair to let us know what happened and when, if ever, it will be fixed. if he says he doesnt know, then he is either lying, or inconsiderate to TOOLS paying fans.
just a personal opinion, fleabird, nothing against you.

here here! then again, the gig the BMB has is to floss TOOL information and propaganda. Maybe Blair got canned for the interim due to the status of the site and all the hacking? Maybe a major overhaul is gonna take place? Maybe the BAND got tired of seeing the status of their site, and all the hating and bitching that was prevalent?

In any case, Blair is nothing more than a target here. And he is merely doing his job, as shitty as might be, and he takes his orders from above. I have no doubts or fears that when, and if a ‘new’ album is ever pressed, the site will be back in order to continue to take in that ‘dirty’ dollar.

Wow, I have never seen the page….I seem to remember my membership application not being so exclusive and overdone. It was more like, ‘here is the gear you get, and you get access to the site.’

Love the line “run by the fans, for the fans”

It is pretty sad that the site is still down with not word on its status.   $40+!!  That’s asking!  When I joined, I paid $10!

Hear hear, I concur, I believe that it always was in the $35.00 area. Maybe we have a currency exchange thing going on here.

If only I lived in LA…  If you go, have a drink for me buddy!

I thought about going, but…have very little free time at the moment and wasn’t planning on buying the book.

Defintiely curious to know how the event turned out though.
