Blair has posted a few more Tool tour dates on Toolband, this time in New Orleans, Houston and Oklahoma City. Looks like my speculation that it was a West Coast tour was incorrect. Tour page has been updated!
There is a fair gap in between these shows, and the other shows confirmed in Canada, so expect quite a few more dates to be announced!
Update: These dates have since been removed from Toolband. Not sure why but I’ve moved them to the rumoured section for now.
Sweet, can’t wait!
Shit, no European dates? come on guys, a World Tour would be killer!!

Yeah. Its entirely possible they may not veer east of the Mississippi. River. Even if they don’t come near me, I’m still happy to see some developments. I think this tour will be a good way to spur creative spirits for the new album.
If they decide not to go any farther east of the Mississippi then New Orleans, then a road trip may be in order.
I highly doubt they are going to embark on a world tour without a new album to support.
Damn my friend’s wedding. I have a plane ticket bought (non-refundable) for 06/23. I wonder how much it would cost to push it back?
did hellboy mention Key arena in Seattle?? why that is 20 minutes from my residence. i reckon i will be sitting in the most expensive reserved seat available. getting too old for the pit. i will also do some traveling if they come to Portland or Vancouver. who am i kidding, i will probably fork over thousands to fly somewhere else in the country like i did last year.

And as someone who’s done both a pit show and a seated show, I’d take the pit show everytime. Every… Read more »
Please come to Toronto, please come to Toronto, please come to Toronto……
Thats positivity!!

I think this is probably the shortest notice
any band has given official notice of a summer tour
in rock history. I mean what the hell did they just think
of this at the last minute? I was planning on having
a shit ton of movie! AAAHHH!!
Hopefully they do a Michigan show… kinda doubting it though
Maybe they will play only in cities not played last year. Just a thought.
I love roadtrips around the western states…. done it more than a few times for this band.
fingers crossed for a different set list…..and new staging.
playing the same old thing, and dusting off the old screens is no longer acceptable for a band like tool.
Read the March newsletter…Don’t be so stupid, there is going to be east coast dates as well. Tool is my favorite band, but damn…the majority of their fans are totally impatient.
hopefully they play a Michigan show…….
So glade i live in East Texas. I can go to the OK CITY show and Houston and if they come to dallas or Shrevport Ill be there. X-mas came earily this year. I saw them in dallas last year perfect view On the Rail One Of kind Experince.
Weird…looks like Blair just deleted that post announcing the New Orleans, Houston and Oklahoma City shows.
Yep, and he whacked those dates from the April newsletter too. They were definitely there last night. Wonder what that’s all about?
I can’t even imagine trying to organize a tour in such a short amount of time. The travel logistics alone would make my head spin. But all that gear, personnel, etc.
I have enough trouble planning my own vacations. : )
east! east! east! toronto! toronto! toronto!
c’mon people sing it with me!
ughhhh, most of us didn’t complain TOO MUCH but i’m really going to shit myself if we see the same show for the 4th time since 06.

Gimme the same show…I-don’t-care!
Summerfest in Milwaukee…There’s a date open on July 2nd for the headliner. It says it’s tba. Tool headlined Summerfest on the 4th in 08′ and blew the roof off. The energy there was awesome. I’m keeping my fingers crossed for July 2nd! The other one I’m hoping for is KC, my home town and DC’s stomping grounds. They passed up KC last year. KC loves Tool. Fingers crossed on that one too!

Rush, huh? And what band was Waters in again?
“To have (Tool) open for Pink Floyd at the Royal Albert Hall, or for Rush somewhere (Neuschwabenland?)….
After standard Banishing procedures, under a gibbous moon, blah, blah, blah… PRESTO! Discharge the spirit without leaving any evil smell behind thee.” -BMB in March
Why do TººL fans love this kind of BS so much, anyway, lol?

Would it not make sense for TOOL to stop in Los Angeles?

I’d be extremely surprised if there wasn’t an LA, or at least a CA date.
Actually it was Summerfest 07′. Thought I’d correct that before the board nazis get me! :0
I wish they could come back to Santa Barbara, if TOOL are coming to California, but from what I have heard, they last time they played a show there, at The Bowl, their setlist broke the 10 P.M. noise curfew and as a result, they are not allowed to play there ever again.
That is really a shame. I recently saw Atoms for Peace there, a few weeks ago, and it is such a beautiful, secluded and acoustically-accommodating venue.

I think they just changed the curfew for the “Malibu Stacey: The Musical” performance, right?
You think they will be coming to Salt Lake. PLEASE OH PLEASE DO! I have been waiting to see Tool live for so long. Missed last summers tour.
I kinda hope Maynard is a little more audible this tour
CALIFORNIA!!!!!!!!!
Come on California ……. seriously I will go to all of the west coast shows ………
San Francisco
Sacramento…….
a tour eh?
maynard must be running out of money

So much for the Summerfest idea. Ya, that opening for headliner on July 2nd was filled today by…drum roll………………………….AMERICAN IDOL LIVE!
FML!
My condolences…
Maynard was soundin’ great with Puscifer when I seen them at the end of March.. I bet he’s feelin adventurous enough to tackle some of those Tool classics we all know and miss this leg..

think you missed out the word ‘on’!
I hope Tool does play in Houston. It will be the hightlight of the summer if they do.
From the April newsletter.
“Other than a different geographic location, there’s another item on the list that is looking… pretty good, and this one really seemed a long shot.”
I hope this is a reference to the band “movie” they talked about doing in a couple interviews a few years back. I’ve always thought Tool would really be the only band to make a movie that would be on par with “The Wall”.
Speaking of which, anybody gonna check out Roger Waters’ “The Wall” tour later this year?
Well, looks like Summerfest won’t be happening as they’ve announced the July 2nd headliner will be…. American Idols Live! Oh joy! Least we still get Rush on the 3rd.
I’ll definitely be checking out the Waters show, presales start Monday & Wednesday next week for those interested. It was also rumored that there would be a Milwaukee date for The Wall tour (at one time it was listed as a city on Rog’s site) but nothing as of yet.
Seems a little strange that tickets will be going on sale tomorrow for the only two currently confirmed dates, with no other dates currently announced. Who knows…maybe tonight there will be more dates announced?

I don’t know if this is the way they wish it to be done but makes me wonder. Anybody else find it odd that the later tour dates got announced first.
Pollstar.com still has the dates on their site. I’ve tried to post this earlier but for some reason i couldn’t. Waiting for the CA shows to pop up. Cycloz – I’ll definitely be checking out Waters and can’t wait to see what Meats has been working on for that tour.
For some reason all your pollstar links are being flagged as spam. Not sure why, but in the meantime, unless there’s some new news there I wouldn’t link to it…
I bet the Canada dates will be the first ones in the tour

Nope
