The Melvins/ISIS Split Details

Aaron Harris from ISIS twittered today a couple of details from the upcoming ISIS/Melvins split on Hydrahead.  According to the pics the track are:

ISIS:

  • Way Through Woven Branches
  • Pliable Foe

The Melvins:

  • Pig House (alt version)
  • I’ll Finish You Off (alt version)

The Isis Tracks are from the Wavering Radiant sessions, while The Melvins tracks seem to be versions of songs from their forthcoming album The Bride Screamed Murder.

Here’s some artwork for you to enjoy!

anyone know where and when i can find this?

Won’t be released until June (no more specific information than that has been given yet), and I expect it will go on sale on the Hydrahead website mentioned in the post.

  2. isis have upated their blog: http://isistheband.blogspot.com/2010/07/isismelvins-split-12-release.html
includes an update on the 12″ split and this:
“…aaron harris has contributed drums to 3 tracks on the new album by rajas. you can check out some of aaron’s contributions on the track “rupee” currently up on the rajas website…”
also didn’t realize they were playing wih Jakob on some of the last tour… if they are the same band I think they are, I dig them a lot.
***just looked, they are who I thought – experimental/ambient type stuff from NZ, not too much unlike russian circles, etc.
