According to this article on the Edmonton Sun website, Tool are to appear in the upcoming documentary Rush: Beyond the Lighted Stage. There’s no detail on what kind of appearance this would be, but my guess is that one or more of the members will appear to recall some kind of memory in regards to Rush, possibly their memories of a live show. Or maybe even Danny talking about Neil’s influence on him. We’ll see…

Rush, My favorite band of all time. While Tool used to be my favorite band and is still one of my favorites, i have over time grew with Rush’s music and them as musicians by revisiting each album and appreciating it during a period in my life. Also by being a bassist (and guitarist) and playing along and learning their music taught me so much over the years as a musician. Actually upon further review……. Sam Dunn the videographer of this joint married an old friend of mine, Patrice!! AND Alex Lifeson is from Fernie, blah blah blah, sorry I am proud of my town. Sam has done many documenteries about Metal….. but no TOOL…….. yet?!?!? Just saying that there is a good chance that Sam Dunn has approached TOOL in regards to a film venture. I highly reccomend his stuff, very entertaining and sincere.

Not sure I see that happening in the near future. I see something like that happening when Tool ends. It would be one of those things like, “Yeah our concerts and music were a real experience. If you are just learning about us now, well you’re fucked cause were done. Sorry, but not really”

There’s an “EDIT” option available after posting something (as I end up having to use it all the time), but it disappears shortly after making a post. It’s located beneath the content of your post…between the “#” and the “QUOTE”.
Not sure if it’s signing-out and then back, or a response to a post, or something else entirely…but…it’s only available for a short time after posting…at least in my experience.
