Italian Tool Biography

Mattia emailed me today with a link to another unauthorized Tool biography, this time in Italian.  Google translate says: It ‘finally available biography of the Italian edition of TOOLS of Joel McIver. This quartet of incredible musicians – Maynard James Keenan, Danny Carey, Justin Chancellor Adam Jones – has emerged from the underground scene in Los Angeles in 1990, with friends Rage Against The Machine, seizing the concept of music… Read More »Italian Tool Biography

Toolarmy Store gets an update

Chris emailed me today to let me know that the Toolarmy store has had an update recently.  Even better news is that there are a couple of new designs in the shirts section.  Well, at least a couple I don’t recognize anyway. Just to comment a little, I don’t think this is any indication of a new site.  it just looks to me like they’ve installed a shopping cart app… Read More »Toolarmy Store gets an update

Joe Barresi Interview

Christophe from Salival.fr emailed me today to let me know he’s just posted an interview he did with Joe Barresi regarding the recording of 10,000 Days.  Nothing groundbreaking in the interview, but a good read none the less: You’re said to be more focused on guitars, and first Danny Carey was even a little worried (tough he told he got the best sound with you). How did you manage with… Read More »Joe Barresi Interview

Review: Dillinger Escape Plan & Periphery @ Fowlers Live

Note: This post contains no Tool content (aside from a few Tool shirts I saw at the gig).  For those that can’t handle that concept, please move on! Last night I was lucky enough to head into town with a mate of mine and check out a band I’ve been meaning to see in a small setting for some time now.  The Dillinger Escape Plan are a band I’ve been… Read More »Review: Dillinger Escape Plan & Periphery @ Fowlers Live

Isis No More…

According to a recent post on the ISIS website, they have decided to call it a day: ISIS has reached an end. It’s hard to try to say it in any delicate way, and it is a truth that is best spoken plainly. This end isn’t something that occurred over night and it hasn’t been brought about by a single cataclysmic fracture in the band. Simply put, ISIS has done… Read More »Isis No More…

Customised Tool Poster on Ebay

Bill sent me an email yesterday letting me know that one of the customised posters done by Adam for the 2007 tour has found it’s way onto Ebay.  The cool tour posters were based on a cool looking print, and then further customised be Adam, in this instance he drew a picture of a weird looking dude no dissimilar to one found in Tool videos.  Starting bid is $500, do… Read More »Customised Tool Poster on Ebay

Seattle show confirmed

Looks like the Tool show in Seattle has been confirmed by several sites (not on Toolband though) as being on the 10th of July at Key Arena.  Looks like Gorge fans will have to wait for next tour.  Tickets go on sale this Friday at 10am, presumably at everyone’s favourite ticketing vendor. I get plenty of questions from readers regarding other shows on the tour (are Tool gonna play town… Read More »Seattle show confirmed
