LA Ticketing Details
Tool, Tour June 23rd, 2010
For those of you who have purchased tickets for the LA shows at the mis-advertised date, it seems as though tickets will be honoured. Also those with tickets for the show on the 21st will have the opportunity to get similar tickets at the other two shows.
Presumably, unless you signed to Ticketmaster with a false email address, you should have details on how to do this by now, but if you don’t I’d suggest giving them a call!
I had tickets for the 21st and got new tickets. We are packed a few more rows but are now in the middle section. Thank god they were revoked!!
correction.. that would be “back a few more rows” and “not revoked” haha sorry!
!!! I originally purchased 3 tickets in Orch Row AA and I just exchanged them for the second show (july 19) for PIT Row 2!!!! I just came a little.

I had a similar experience yesterday, while it was probably my fault. I called for confirmation that the tickets I have a confirmation # for Sunday were still legit tickets. As I purchased them on 6-4 and it was then 6-22, I suppose we were all a bit concerned. So after waiting on hold for 45 minutes I decided to get a bit ballsy, after finding out that I would recieve my tickets in 10 days I asked for an upgrade for the inconvenience of the uncertainty of having tickets, wtf was going on, getting transport from OH to CA. She put me on hold….again! Came back 5 minutes later and said to me “Sir the only thing I can do for you at this point in time is either give you the tickets that you purchased, or cancel your order minus the ‘convenience fees’” Which as everyone knows is $30 for 2 tickets!!!! Talk about an inconvenience! Now before I hear this BS I was lucky to get tickets, I had 4 ppl on 6 different computers trying to get me and my fiance tickets to all 3 shows so that I could justify going to the cesspool that is LA. She really wants to see the city?!?!?! the only pair I pulled was from my blackberry via my TM app. Had all intentions of going to all 3 shows and now I have a pair on the far side of the lodge, wtf! If they have better seats available for sale, why can’t you upgrade me. I am sure I am being selfish, but maybe if I had better seats I would make the trip and pay the scalpers for the 2nd night! I know tickets go on sale Sat, I just wanted to say……..FUCK TICKETMASTER!
Geez. Bitter much? Nokia Theatre is a small venue (by Tool standards)….7,100 seats. Every seat in the place is pretty good/decent. Enjoy the “cesspool” when you come to my hometown. Don’t understand the animosity towards LA but I would imagine that there is a reason why people come to visit LA more than OH.

Don’t really get all the LA hate either. I mean, like any other big city, sure it has it’s shitty places. Has lots of nice places too.
Every time I’ve gone into LA I’ve had a good time/experience and I’ve been there a good many times since I moved out to So-Cal 3 years ago.
Guess people really think MJK really hit a homerun in his description of the city in a certain song even though they themselves may have never been there.

I had to sell my L.A. Nokia theater pit ticket due to a family matter occurring on the same date. I am bummed, but family is most important.

Got my 2 tickets for Monday night. Was worried there for a little bit though. The excitement of getting tickets now means it’s time to go rub out a load.

I was worried because I’m not at home in so-cal right now and am back east visting family. So i had to use a family members computer which isn’t quite as fast as mine back home (and that’s being generous). I had 2 browsers going and each eventually got up to the point of saying “wait time is 4 mins” so at that point I thought my chances were slim/none. But both came through so I ditched 1 pair and ordered the other.
Happy Times. Hopefully a good omen for the weekend and the US soccer team.
I’m pretty stoked. Got 4 Orchestra seats center in Row CC for the Sunday show. A little towards the middle/back of the floor but I think they’ll be pretty good seats. I’ve never been to the Nokia Theatre at LA Live before. Is any seat at this place good? I’m guessing that this place is similar in size to the Gibson Ampitheatre (love that venue).
I was a little nervous too when it said I had to wait 6 minutes for my tix to come up. I figured they would all be gone by the time I got in.
$373 for 4 tickets is pretty pricey but what the hell……I haven’t seen Tool since the last time they played in LA (Staples Center, 2006). I’m pretty fired up for this show.
I really thought I was SOL when I started the search it went from 3 min…to 4…to 5 and back down again.
I think the last time they were here(besides Pomona) was the Nokia Theatre show before Vegas…had Mezz tix for that night and they still had a good view…it’s a pretty intimate place, though I think the Pearl is better. That night the sound wasn’t great up there but, I heard there were speakers that weren’t working…?
That’s right! They did play the Nokia a few years ago. Unfortunately, I missed that one (obviously). I had no desire to go to that Pomona festival last year. I was tempted but couldn’t pull the trigger on that one.
I ended up going to that Pomona show since I was able to get 2 tickets in exchange for getting a concert tshirt for the orignal ticket holder who couldn’t make it. No way I was gonna pay, what I thought was too much, to see a bunch of other bands. Though, AIC was pretty good.
Other than Tool, the best part of the show was when Linkin Park’s equipment went out 1/2 way through their set. Hahaha
I can’t say you didn’t miss much cause Tool is always great but, festivals DO suck ass…
Also got both nights orchestra. So relived. Ones E the other is GG i believe. Dead Center. Should be amazing. Hope they pull out something different the second night. Pushit?? woot
If anyone is looking for a ticket to the show on Sunday (7/18), I have a good single ticket available in Orchestra, Row CC. The seat is in the 400 section near the aisle right by the center of the venue.
One of my buddies bagged out and can’t go to the show with us.
Thought I’d offer the ticket to a real fan that could not score a ticket to this show. The scalpers on Craigslist are ridiculous.
I’m just looking for face value for the ticket + the Ticketbastard fees I paid - $93 total.
