Merchandise at Tool gigs

Got an email from Kanaduh today, with plenty of pictures of Tool merchandise.  If any wants a closer photo of a specific shirt then let me know (they’re all a little blurry though).  Here’s a photo of the merchandise stand:

photo (1)

The limited shirts mentioned by Blair on Toolband don’t go on sale until the Cedar Park gig.  In regards to pricing, Kanaduh mentioned the following:

all shirts $40
2xlarge size $45
Old poster $5
City specific poster $25
Signed $100

I also noticed a G-String in one of his pictures for the ladies or crossdressers or Fourtheye!

There’s only a handful of 30 minute offset timezones I think, and Adelaide just happens to be one of them!

I will want both….trust me…. They could be made of scratch and sniff feces and I would still want both!!! I want all of them!!!! I seriously think I have a problem! Just looked at my ebay won auctions and tallied up what I have spent on TOOL posters in the last 6 months. Jebus I could have almost bought a single ticket to everyshow on this tour with the $$$ I have spent on …………….posters?!?!?!?!?!? BUT I STILL NEED MORE!!!!!!!!
gnjasmkr- I will block for you as long as we can score autographed posters!!!

I know how you feel. I spent a lot of money on posters after last years show. I just sold my autographed dallas poster and it paid for my tickets to both LA shows today. :D And that was a poster i had bought off ebay about 10 months prior. anyway, im, like you, once again, obsessed with some of these posters. not all of them ive seen but the ones i like.

  14. Poster Hoarder

Definitely not all of them, but most of them still looking to trade I have a few with me and I am on my way to stl in 3 hrs so if you would like to meet up and see what I have available I am open to trades or cash

  15. newb

Are the posters and shirts selling out at all the shows?
Has anyone here not gotten a poster or shirt that wanted one?
Just wondering if all these people getting “extras” are keeping others from getting them and should I arrive early enough to beat them to the merch booth.
    Kinda like ticket scalpers, huh?

I think I read that they upped the count from 100 to 400 for the tour posters. I’d still like to know though, how crazy it is at the merch tables before 8pm. Also, approx. what have the dimensions been on the posters thus far? Are they too big to fit in your luggage (once inside the tube)?

I’m curious about the lines prior to these shows. How early before doors open are people getting in line? We’re going to the St. Paul Show, I really want a city specific poster, we’re probably not getting into town till around 4- 5. Doors open at 7.

  18. newb

At the Cedar Park show, I got there 15 minutes before the doors opened at 7. I was about the 11th person in line. Take into account that we were at a side entrance, not the middle, main entrance. I went straight to the Merch booth and was second in line. After about 30 minutes, the lines were stuffed.

  19. Poster Hoarder

By the time we got into last nights show around 745 place was packed merch booth was 6 deep and sold out of unsigned posters, but they did appear to have 10+ signed posters left. So my suggestion is to get there a bit early and pick me up one! Also the tubes they gave us last night weren’t actual tubes more like cardboard you fold into a triangle box.

Can you leave to put your poster in your car and still get back in?

Not sure what it’s like in the US, but here in Australia it would be unusual that you could leave the venue and get back inside.

  22. Poster Hoarder

I didn’t try, but they did let me keep my posters at the merch booth till after the show since I had GA tickets. I did however purchase the framed doodle so maybe that’s why they were so accommodating.

  23. Queen of the Pussies

Yes, that is why they allowed us to store our goodies. When you spend good money on framed Adam art, they are inclined to hold your stuff for you. Just make sure you have your name written on your goodies. In the meantime, here is a pic of the Adam Doodle that we bought. There were some leftover Houston posters for a discounted price. Can’t complain when they were over 50% off the original asking price!

I bought a Tool signed poster at the St Charles Missour concert from the merchandise booth I have number 35/250, something dont seem right with Maynards signature. I was comparing my pictures here.

Dont look right? Is it possible someone els was signing some of them for him to get done faster? Would Tool really rip their fans off? Any opinions are greatly appreciated.

  25. Queen of the Pussies

yes, the TooL wrench logo key chain and ladies thong. Also, the eye of nemirion hoodie they had back in 2007. They were selling the 10k days band poster…the pics that Travis Shinn took of them. The poster was only $5! I guess they have a lot of those left over.

So, no special tour only vinyls, CDs, DVDs or other pressed audio-visual recordings?

Have they ever offered anything like that? No, I don’t think so.

  27. newb

Actually they have sold the chet zar DVD at some of the shows. I bought a copy back in 08.

Disturb the norml – chet zar   – short videos of visuals used in TOOL shows.

Hold on to it and never set it down until you get home!

The posters are great! I have two extras from St. Paul to trade. City posters were $30 here, the signed ones were $120, shirt was $55, all other shirts were $40, the Tool wrench logo keychain was $15. no old tour posters. I did see some counterfeit shirts going arround outside wuth tour dates but they didnt have the sleeve (L.A.) printing.
