Puscifer cover Rocket Man

As has been promised since 2008, Maynard and Steve Drozd from The Flaming Lips have finally released their version of Elton John’s Rocket Man.  The track, which is technically Puscifer + Steve Drozd, can now be streamed on Puscifer’s website.  I think it actually sounds pretty good.

Thanks to ToolDude for spotting this.

I sent an email to the Puscifer website folks, asking if they would be putting this (and Spaghetti Trekka) up in MP3 format for sale anytime soon.

I got a response that said the Rocket Man cover was on the Heart is a Drum Machine soundtrack. Great, I thought. However, I can’t find anywhere to purchase that soundtrack.

Anyone know where I can buy that sound track? If this ends up being on the BIW soundtrack…then I’ll just wait for that.

On sort of a different note.  I just purchased the C Is For EP from puscifer.com and it seems that the audio file is password protected.  Does anyone know where I find a password to complete the download process?
Thanks,
Tom

Thank you! I swear I did not see these yesterday (nor did the email say they were available there). But can I download this to my iPod? Not super technologically advanced here…obviously.

i doubt we will ever hear them, but i would love to have APC’s covers of (diary of a lovesong) and (ashes to ashes). i only got to see them perform diary of a love song once. it was after the nin tour and they were doing small venues. they were at the agora in cleveland ohio. it was ga seating, and i stood in line for a few hours. got front row seats with a small pit in front before the stage. the seats were elevated a few feet so sitting down you could just see peoples heads and… Read more »
