According to a leaked list of acts for the 2011 Soundwave Festival here in Australia, The Melvins will be joining the lineup. Other highlights for me include Primus, Queens Of The Stone Age, Slayer and High On Fire. If this is true, I’ll definitely be there.
The official announcement is tonight, so keep your hats on!
Update: Great news everybody: that leak has been confirmed as official!

That’s what I’ve been hearing. Soundgarden headlining too.

If you decide to go, be sure to check out Maiden Hellboy they’re worth it.

I will if the timetable allows it. From what I’m hearing Slayer will be headlining the Metal stage at the same time as Iron Maiden headline the main stage. That being the case I’d pick Slayer every time…

Queens, the melvins and high on fire.. diggin it.

wow looks like a pretty good line up so far, Deftones is the big one I have been waiting to see, probably one my fav bands I always seem to miss. They just did a quick trip through Europe but nothing in London…might be heading back home for the summer if they are going down under!

What a lineup! I can’t believe they brought us FNM last yr and now Primus, Qotsa & The Melvins!

I’m jealous!! This will make ears bleed!

So I take it this means that Blair’s tease of some tour down under is looking like just that? A tease…
If so that bodes well for the writing and recording process for both Tool and APC (whatever the result of the latter means).
