More A Perfect Circle show details

A few more details have come in regarding the just announced APC shows:

The band itself will include Maynard, Billy, Josh Freese, James Iha and Matt McJunkins (Ashes Divide, Puscifer).  According to a recent Rolling Stone interview (more on that later) Paz, Troy and Jeordie have also been invited and may appear at some shows.

Live Nation has dates up for the Las Vegas shows (the 20th and 21st of November at The Pearl), and there will be a presale for these shows.  I don’t see them on that site, but kdub420 says the LA shows are on the 8th, 9th and 10th of November.

In other news, Maynard spoke with Rolling Stone about A Perfect Circle, and that interview can be found here.  He mentions that Tool won’t be recording anytime soon, so I guess the rumours I heard of them hitting the studio later this month are pretty much busted right now.  Thanks to Nathan for the tip.

Well, we all know to take Maynard with a grain of salt so maybe he is just trying to throw us of the scent of finding their recording studio.

While this is cool and all I have to fee bummed out on a couple fronts. 1. The east coast is shafted yet again. 2. I’d like to see something like an EP released from them or maybe live stuff. I feel like as a fan, I’m getting nothing from this. I never got to see APC and I would freaking LOVE to see them live.

i’ve seen APC twice. once when mer de noms came out and they opened for that one guy who uses trite rhyming schemes and the word decay too much… what’s his name? oh yeah. trent reznor. i saw them again when they toured for the 13th step. both shows felt like they were missing something, and emotive was just plain bad.   whatever. i can appreciate making the fans of tool wait another 6 years for an album. it’s totally worth spending time on lackluster side projects. i can totally dig hearing tool play the same set list every single… Read more »

Seeing A Perfect Circle live (and Mini Kiss, for that matter) was one of the most memorable concert experiences I have ever had. Even after the show, fans were destroying stuff and throwing metal trash cans at windows outside of the venue shouting the lyrics from TOOL – Disgustipated after the show was over.

I saw APC on their world tour for 13th step, was a great show! Really sad to hear that the new tool ablum might be set back because of this new tour though, tool should come first!

oddly enough i’ve seen APC a few more times than TOOL, and i’ve seen TOOL about twenty times. (ah the days free from wife and kids…)

…But yes living east of the Mississippi i too am not thrilled about this tour not coming our way. the thing that also sucks about the non-release of live footage is that they have it. we know they have so sell it to me, NOW!

I’m torn about this, but the chance to get to see the entire discography makes it pretty worth it.  However having seen TOOL at Red Rocks this year I thought the band was on a whole new level.  After that it’s nearly impossible for me to wait.  Dreams of a new album coming quickly have faded away but the time has certainly come in my opinion.

Does anyone know if these shows are an all ages event?  I would love to take my 8yr old.  These would be her first concerts and my first to see APC.

Surely an 8 year old would be permitted to an 18+ gig with a parent? Its not like she’d be trying to buy bourbon and coke.

Not so sure a rock concert is appropriate for an 8 year old to be honest, but each to their own . . .

Maybe, but I have heard of TOOL fans taking their children to the previous TOOL concerts and apparently they both a pretty fun time.

24lateralus – 1 hour ago  »  a perfect circle facebook update: “We will be posting on-sale information on Monday morning (tickets will not be on-sale on Monday, we are posting when they go on-sale” Yea I saw that. Also there are multiple cities and maybe the tickets will go on sale at different times. On 107.7 The end’s website right now it says APC tickets go on sale in the morning at 10. Are you going to try and score them in the morning? Do you think they will even be on sale? Also how do you plan to get… Read more »

if they were on sale in the morning i would def. try to get them then, but the thing is im lacking what makes this world turn. (money) this tour was pretty short notice for me personally because im out of work right now. and w/ the showbox being such a small venue, im guessing the tickets will be pretty much gone before they even go onsale ya know? worst comes to worse i’ll prob. end up spending a shitload of money on ebay or some stubhub b.s/ it also sucks because ive never seen a.p.c and i live only… Read more »

Ticketmaster just released the info for the Seattle show. Only one so far. It says each night is $38.50 and the 3-day pass is $77. I’m having trouble believing that though.

I cannot wait for this! I really hope I’m able to get tickets for these Phoenix shows! This is all I will be thinking about all week!

Wow 3 shows for 77 bucks? I am all over that if it is true. That can’t be right.

That’s what I said. But check it out on ticketmaster.com. I’ve looked at 3 times already just to make sure it’s what I saw. Hope the prices are consistent with Phoenix.

Being that I can’t attend any of these shows (you lucky bastards) I can’t wait to see what they perform on Jimmy Kimmel. I wonder If it will be a new song.

I wish they would play one night in each of those cities (instead of 2 or 3) and then spread the rest of those shows around the country.

Just ‘cuz I’m bitter (since they aren’t coming to MN).

Do you guys think this will be it for this tour?

puscifer and apc may or not be equals, but $77 may not be crazy. puscifer 2 nights in detroit was $70.
$77 is awesome, and they better record these shows. then sell them
