We have held back 3,000 tickets for the first Sydney BDO event on Wednesday, 26 January 2011 to be sold via the official BDO website ballot.
This ballot will be conducted over ONE WEEK ONLY, and NO further tickets will be made available for this show.
You can register for the ballot from Thursday, 28 October, with the ballot drawn Thursday, 4 November.

PLEASE NOTE: The two BDO shows (Wednesday 26th and Thursday 27th January) at Homebush will be your ONLY opportunity to see TOOL in Sydney.
Sounds like bad news for Sydney fans expecting to see Tool on their own, and not really promising signs for the rest of us…
Update: According to a post on Facebook, someone heard that sideshows for the BDO headliners will be announced on Triple J tomorrow. We’ll wait and see!

This is what seems to me has happened. Tool are signed up for BDO. Tool has signed up to do major city sideshows (sydney, melb, bris). BDO sells out in Sydney way too fast. BDO organise second Sydney show. Tool have no time for their Sydney sideshow now, but still play the others… that is what I gather from that article.

I don’t think that’d be far off the mark, though I’m still skeptical of a Brisbane show.

Brissy rarely gets sideshows of any kind unfortunately. I guess a Brissy show on the 24th could be a possibility although i’m thinking Melbourne, one show only either on the 29th, 31st or 1st. Just heard the JJJ promo on the radio and it said “We will be announcing A sideshow for ONE of the headlining bands”
