No further information has been given in regards to this presale, and there is no information on Ticketek for the Brisbane gig as I write this.
Will there be a pre-sale? I don’t know, I’m a little skeptical to be honest, but would be great if there was one! Thanks to chiaroskura for spotting this for me.
would the fanclub pre-sale be for collective unconscious members? i’m not presently a member but i’m totally signing up if it means i’ll be in with a better shot at melbourne sideshow tickets EEK!
I don’t get the concept… is it so fan members of a certain site are guaranteed tickets? Also, the ticket prices seem reasonable.
I wonder what the fan-club requirements are. I was never a member of Toolarmy because it offered nothing really of interest to me and nothing was offered by way of presale. I hope it’s not Toolarmy because I’m not a member. Hmm.
Anyway I guess this is why ToolBand noted the onsale date to be November 4th and not the 8th.

Pre-sales don’t guarantee tickets. They are normally just an allotment of tickets that are made available to fan clubs, but I’d say the bulk, or at least a fair percentage of tickets will be reserved for the normal sale.
Also, at this stage it’s anyone’s guess as to how these presale tickets will be made available. I don’t have any inside information.
I’d like to think it would be for Toolarmy members only. At least that’s how it’d be if I were in charge.

i just bought a membership on Toolarmy. figured it was better to be safe than sorry. really want tickets to the melbourne show and this kinda gives me 2 goes at it. pre-sale and regular sale!
Not that I care, but I don’t find the $140 ticket prices reasonable at all considering last time they played at the music bowl they played the same length as at Big Day Out…$100 sounds much more reasonable….Anyway, the scalpers will probably get all the front row tickets like in 2007!
Im trying for Brisbane tickets…But im kinda starting to get anxious about not getting them….At least at the entertainment centre its a pretty good view from everywhere…
Interesting…
early show too… the time given to Jakob to be on stage is quite short considering they’ve ot single tracks seemingly long enough to fill the slot
just found prices for Brisbane:

you guys are late… fanclub pre-sale started back in april… and general public went on sale back in august..
Hey Hellboy, do you think the fact that Ticketmaster is hosting the presale means that it will be one of those password-entry presales?
As in, where every Toolarmy member gets notified of the generic password Lateralus and anyone can just put that in when the pre-sale opens up?
blair just made a post on toolarmy:
NOTE ABOUT PRE-SALES
I am still waiting for a link from the promoter for ToolArmy member pre-sales for the 2 ‘solo’ shows in Australia. As SOON as I get this, I will post the information.

Now they’re gonna get people joining again i the hopes of getting pre-sales, and the fricken website doesn’t even work. Awesome!… Read more »

Great news, didn’t expect this, hopefully this means we get a crack at the “stalls” section at the Music Bowl, last time on the lawn was ok, but I’d love to be a bit closer to the band
If I join Toolarmy for the “Presales”, how long will it take for me to get my membership package ??
;-}~

Well you get access to Toolarmy immediately, but it can take a while to get your package from what I hear.
With all this talk of joining TooL Army, it seems appropriate to give the noobs a crash course….in what TA once was.
^ VERY NOICE! THAT FEELS OLD SCHOLL NOWADAYS
Pre-sale link for Melb and Brisvegas is up on the TA site as of now. I noticed though that for Melb, Ticketmaster has pre-sales for their regular members too…they better not be as good as the TA seats
Hi, i have been sitting infront of my comput since 10 this morning to ensure i could get optimal steats to the Melbourne show. When i finaly got through to ticket sales and the password did not work under fanclub password but only under ticketmaster password. Just to make sure i tried about 100 different combinations with no avail. A few times i did get offered tickets but they were seating in the ‘lawn’ area (aka RIGHT AT THE BACK) and i thought this was really unusual for fans to (by choice) sit up the back… surely being a member of the… Read more »
The password now works for TA presale too…
I only managed to get one in the seated area…
The general option doesnt even come up. It was apparently much easier for Brisbane goers who didnt have to deal with Ticketmaster.
Ticketmaster = BS
