I’m back from 5 days caving down at Mt Gambier, and while nothing too exciting in the Tool world has happened, there is some exciting news for New South Welshmen in regards to The Melvins and Alex Grey.
Firstly The Melvins will now be playing a Sidewave with Primus in Sydney on the 28th of February at the Enmore Theatre. According to the blurb the gig will be all ages and goes on sale on the 14th of January via Ticketek.
Alex Grey fans will also be happy to hear that he will now be including more than one town in his Australian tour, with a show at the Factory Theatre in Sydney:

On Sunday January 30, 2011, international visionary artists Alex Grey & Allyson Grey will present a full day of live painting, presentations, and artist signings at The Factor Theatre from 6:00pm – midnight.
Full Program Tickets – $60
Full Program tickets are priced at $60.00. Entry is from 6:00pm to 12.00am, which will include the Talk, Live Painting, and Artist Signings.
Evening Session Tickets – $35
We are also making available entry for the Evening Session only at $35.00, which will be for viewing the Live Painting Performance by Alex and Allyson Grey. Entry for the Evening Session is from 9:00pm to 12.00am.
