The Melvins announced recently that they will be visiting six towns in the USA, playing a two night residency in each town. According to the blurb: The upcoming performances will feature the same set list in each city with the first night kicking off with the band performing songs from Lysol and Egg Nog followed by a second set of music from Houdini. New A Perfect Circle tracks, but no new album

I just read on Blabbermouth that while A Perfect Circle do have some new songs (which they hope to play on the coming tour) there are no plans to record them or a full album just yet: Howerdel said A PERFECT CIRCLE will be “playing some of the new songs,” on this tour, “so that’s always an exciting prospect.” “We’re still kind of in the creative process of them, but… Read More »New A Perfect Circle tracks, but no new album

M.T.Void debuts on Polish Radio

According to a recent Facebook post, M.T.Void’s first track debuted on Polish Radio Channel 3 earlier this week.  According to comments some have heard the track, however I can’t find any streams online with the song.  Did anyone catch it? For those that have forgotten, M.T.Void is a side project of Justin’s with Piotr Mohammed. You can find more info on Fourtheye here

A Perfect Circle prepare us for Monday

The Perfect Circle Facebook page today gives us a short and sharp message: Tune into www.aperfectcircle.com on Monday morning We can only speculate on what this means, but chances are it will be some more North American tour dates for later this year.  I guess there’s also a chance it could be the announcement of a new release of some sort, though personally I think that’s unlikely for now… Update:… Read More »A Perfect Circle prepare us for Monday

Rammstein footage on dannycarey.org

There’s some great footage on http://dannycarey.org of the Tool/Rammstein incident at the Adelaide Big Day Out in February.  It’s been recorded be Breck who’s the projection director.  Excellent audio and visual quality!

Another Danny Carey “Documentary”, APC dates coming soon!

Update: It’s come to my attention that I’ve posted this already. It’s worth watching again anyway for good measure… Aaron Harris tweeted today that he found a series of videos about Danny, recorded sometime around 1996/97. I haven’t had a chance to watch it yet (work has banned Youtube!) but I hear it’s worth watching! Here’s part 1: And Part 2, Part 3 and Part 4… Speaking of Twitter, Maynard… Read More »Another Danny Carey “Documentary”, APC dates coming soon!

The Melvins to release Live Album ‘Sugar Daddy’

News is pretty slow at the moment, and while Tool are in writing mode, i don’t expect there to be much coming out of their world in the next couple of months.  Best we can hope for are a few more A Perfect Circle or Puscifer dates at this stage. However, there is some good news, last week The Melvins announced that they will be releasing Sugar Daddy, a live… Read More »The Melvins to release Live Album ‘Sugar Daddy’

February 2011 Tool Newsletter posted

Blair posted a relatively short, but somewhat exciting newsletter today.  It basically talks about how Tool are quite focused on writing the new album at the moment.  Here’s an abbreviated version of an already short newsletter: Having returned from their recent tour Down Under, after taking a few days to recover from any jet-lag, and to take care of personal affairs, starting last Monday, members of the band returned to… Read More »February 2011 Tool Newsletter posted

Danny baking potatoes

In a post today Blair tells us that Danny is tonight’s guest at the Monday Night Jammmz at the Baked Potato.  Sound cool for those of us in LA, but the highlighted bit below may be of more interest to most: DANNY will be performing double duty on this last day in February, first working on new musical arrangements with TOOL and then being the guest drummer at tonight’s MONDAY… Read More »Danny baking potatoes
