Carey, Claypool, Copeland, Peart

Ever wanted to watch a crazy jam featuring Danny, Neil Peart, Les Claypool and Stewart Copeland.  Well now you can!  Head over to Neil Peart’s website, and view Danny playing some trombone and drums on an unnamed track.

Thanks to BDP for the tip!

Enjoyed that. More Les Claypool than anything else. Danny should stick to drumming though.

With a line up like that you’d expect something amazing but that was downright awful. I hate Rush now more then I did before. Neil Pert is a fucking nerd. Sorry if I’ve offended anybody but I’d rather listen to Puscifer than whatever that was.

“It was the best of times, it was the worst of times”. That was not the best of times. All I’m saying is that when you read the line up you’re gonna have some high expectations. It would have been cooler if they were all playing Guitar Hero together or something.

Oh wait, that’s A Tale Of Two Cities. To be honest I’ve never read either one. They’re thicker then them damn Harry Potter books.

If this were to be officially released, I’d presume it to be more, but as a jam, it’s great. You show me a “supergroup” that encapsulates the sum of all its parts and I’ll bare hand you a lump of dog shit. Some of them are good, others, alright, and then there’s the absolute failures, but none are = to the individual participants or their initial projects. And considering the rolling line-up and most likely, lack of influence on the writing process of several participants, I do not consider APC a part of this category… so name someone else if… Read more »

That was nice. I busted out laughing when they showed danny playing in slow motion. That was hilarious to me for some reason.

fuckin hippy… who were they before they were together?
pretty sure the word supergroup did not apply at that point in time
will give you fantomas as possibly the highest quality supergroup going, but pretty content in the fact that the members have each done better music seperately… melvins and/or FNM > Fantomas

@Pete – rereading your supergroup = equation I do indeed take back the Wilbury’s. If your going to pay Fantomas however…

Led Zep rule.

not paying fantomas, just admitting that they are the closest example to the argument that I’ve not thought about this in detail before.

Led Zepplin were a “supergroup” of sorts, seeing as they were sort of all from different bands to begin with… and I dont own a Yardbirds album, do you?

Choke! If that was serious Hellboy, you have gone TOO far sir. That is some of the most overblown, commercialized, producized waste of space excuse for “music” I’ve heard in a long time and absolutely embodies what Pete was saying in his post.

that was rather painful for me. whoever did the filming/editing deserves the crown of shame, because I don’t believe it was meant to be a comedy piece.

I maintain that Les Claypool is just a very funny man! And I’m pretty sure that the rest of them have a sense of humour too.

oh, don’t get me wrong – i would hope they keep it in light spirits. but the cameraman had me cracking up after one minute, and i knew it wasn’t getting any better 😀

Some people are just too serious! I think that Neil is still a Lil’ withheld, as usual, but more so due to what had happened to his family…. It was a some years back now, strong man, great beat-keeper, STRONG MAN!!! Totally agreeing with 2lizbet! Thinkin Les is a fuckin’ Genius/Comic!! Can’t really speak about SC, but I am sure Danny is a lite hearted fella!! I made him laugh, sure it was at me, but hey now!!!
