I’m surprised we don’t have more people bitching about Maynard pimping Puscifer in the middle of a Tool tour.

To be fair though, it’s kinda strange. I would imagine those are two different head spaces to be in. But I guess I can understand being sick of doing something for 20 years and then being forced to do it to make a quick few bucks.

I wonder how much each band member earns per show on tours like this. Does anyone know how many people are in the Tool touring crew and what percentage of the revenue the venues pocket?

I am glad carina is opening for this tour as well.

Jesus bro she is a fucking goddess.

Not only is she absolutely beautiful (like 10/10 freaking hotttt), but she sings like an angel. And plays guitar at the same time. She’s definitely no adam jones, but even the fact that she can play simple guitar chords, while singing make her a fantastic performer.

Not to mention that incredible bush, so I hear. I would have to see for myself though.

Puscifer has a Newsletter Signup on the FacialBook page. It’s to the left on the page if you’re into FacialBook thang…

I’m already signed up to a Puscifer newsletter, though I don’t remember how (perhaps from that Team Puscifer thing).  But I also signed up for that one since I can’t help but throw my gmail address at any subscription list I can find.

hmm…probably the same one…mayhaps? I’ve only just now confirmed my sign up and it took me to a page that only said “Welcome to the Puscifer Newsletter” or something to that effect, but that’s all that was on the page. I’ll have to remember to trade notes when I get an actualy newsletter; I’d be interested to see if it’s the same thing.

^Looks like it and besides, even if it isn’t, she can call herself what ever name she wants…I could hang with her for a few days
“Can I hit that, baby? Yea, the hooka too.”

those are the lyrics to a carina round song. but that definitely does not look like carina. That girl kinda looks south american.

ok……………. I already have tickets for the show in Calgary, can I just upgrade em to VIP? Dumb question .)

    | “when people single me out and want an autograph or a photo just somewhere I don’t understand it. [...] I am not better than you. I don’t understand why you insist that I am. That’s depressing to me. So I come off like a (jerk) because I don’t want to do those things and I’m trying to tell you that you don’t need ‘it.’ You don’t need my (expletive) autograph.”
That sounds like such bullshit. Rob Zombie said it best, “If you refuse to sign autographs/take pictures, it’s obvious you’ve never been a fan of anything.”
I really don’t think the majority of Tool fans, at least the ones I’ve met, worship Maynard. And I think when people do, it is his own fault. By building this persona of mystique around him, he makes people far more interested in him. People don’t want an autograph or a photo because they think he’s some sort of god or idol. It’s because he has written some sort of material that has touched that person one way or the other. That applies to all artists, in my opinion.
I don’t think any of the band members are ‘better than me’, they have just written some awesome songs that I enjoy, so it’s pretty cool to meet them.

I understand why people would want an autograph but I totally agree with Maynard in the sense I don’t see why you should want it.

Has anyone posted this interview yet?
    Pretty good.

“And I can’t understand why someone would give away their power like that. I am not better than you. I don’t understand why you insist that I am.”

Yes Tyson I had seen it but it’s a great first paragraph. Sycophantic fans are the pits, along with the whole media preoccupation with heroes and role models.

So, you understand why people would want an autograph, but you don’t understand why people would want an autograph?

    Makes sense.

Each to their own, if Maynard doesn’t like giving autographs then so be it.  He seems to have no problems having his photo taken if females are involved though…

    Reread, slowly.

I guess I’m missing your point. I’m not differentiating any meaning between ‘would’ and ‘should’ in your sentence. Care to elaborate?

He’s so deep and spiritual but I guarantee he hasn’t fucked a fatty since he’s become rich and famous.

You think he and Carina got down yet? I mean unless shes a lez, I don’t see why he wouldn’t want to.

Man she looks nice drinking some good ‘ol moonshine.

I understand why you would want an autograph, but why should you? You should know better. Especially with the message Tool espouses, that goes for merch as well.

But they have no problem taking money from mouth breathers. More power to em.

    I’d give it a 95% chance.

Why do you guys think APC toured with those Japanese chicks? I’m sure it’s because the band thought they were great musicians.

  21. newb

I don’t care if Carina had a bush the likes of which could supply nesting for a flock of pigeons. It would be an honor to just…. ( I won’t elaborate due to respect)

Tool and all other major touring acts get paid a flat fee to perform. the rest(crew, drivers etc.) is negotiated by their own management company, not sure who theirs is though

Just realised you’re not the person who posted the Carina’s bush story, nevermind.

Definitely don’t really get the autographs, I mean, what are we kids looking to get baseball players to sign a ball or something. Not my thing but I won’t knock others who do. But c’mon, pictures, that’s a bit different.
Heck, few years ago, me, the old lady, and a bunch of friends went and did one of those mud-run deals. I dressed up as Duffman. All day long people were stopping me to take pictures. I mean, it’s not like none of us (me or the others taking the picture) thought I or they were better/less of a person, or that I or they didn’t need it, or that any of them actually thought I was the real Duffman. It was just fun for everyone involved.
That Rob Zombie quote kinda does make some good sense/points though.
As far as Carina Round goes, yeah, I’d let her sit on my face.

Pretty sure Tool don’t go through promoters, could be wrong.

It’s just a cool memento. Especially when you’re meeting someone who won’t take pictures, like most of Tool.
