Not a bad effort from all involved, and it was great to see Danny rocking out on a relatively small drumkit!
Update: According to Loudwire, Danny also offered an update on the new album:
While the group hasn’t fully returned to recording, he did admit that they “have he framework of at least five good songs,” and that they hope to finish their next album by the end of the year.

This album doesn’t actually exist. It’s going to be slated for a release on 4/2/13 and the day before it comes out they’ll say “April Fools! Tool is breaking up” and that will be that.

As for the album update, I don’t even know what to say about that. 5 fucking songs after 6 years????????????? I think we can safely say that an “early” 2013 release doesn’t even seem likely and it looks like they are nowhere near ready to actually hit the studio.
No wonder Blair is giving us the “story of the loft” each month. Nothing to update in terms of the album. And here I thought 2012 was supposed to be an “exciting” year for Tool fans.
