Really enjoyed that. Happy 12 year to you Blair, and many more hopefully. Cool stories, nice to hear how things started, straight from someone who was there. I wonder how many parts we will get? At this rate, Justin just entering the picture, looks like a few. Im down for it. I think its nice how he mentions Maynard wasnt at parties, or at least a lot, he has always seemed like kind of a do his own thing guy! which i respect. He gets the jobs done. The last two newsletters have been very entertaining…no real ‘news’ but, pretty fun to read. The only problem I have is deciding which of those stories are true…two gangs approaching from either side with weapons drawn? :rolling-eyes-smiley-face-thing
Its hard to tell with blair when reality and fantasy arn’t blurred. After all these years of trolling he must be lv.9 or 10…anyway, did I read correctly or did he mildly insinuate that the band was using tranquilizers during the aenema writing sessions that people at the loft were using tranquilizers? Anyway im loving that picture of adam with his guitar mid jam…saw something intriging in the background…

Saying 5 GOOD songs as opposed to 5 songs is musician speak for “we’ve written a ton of shit, but only 5 are good enough.” which to me is a good sign. I think they’re gonna deliver another masterpiece.
I could mean a whole bunch of things. Best bet at this stage is to just sit back, relax and let them finish the album as they know best. The fact that we are getting regular updates both on Toolband and via the members bodes well for them hitting the studio this year.

According to the newsletter “several experiments involving dissociative anesthetics were conducted by certain Lodge members at the loft“. After reading the first newsletter, I though it was somewhat obvious that those lodge members weren’t members of Tool (except Danny). Tool may or may not have experimented with drugs in the past, but as I read it Blair didn’t suggest or confirm that they have.
That was how I read it as well.
