Those that pay close attention to the members of Tool birthdays you will surely have remembered that next year is Maynard’s 50th birthday. To celebrate he’s bringing together two of his bands, A Perfect Circle and Puscifer as well as one of his favorite other bands Failure. Details of this Cinquanta (Italian for 50) are below:

Tickets for the special evening, known as Cinquanta, are on-sale this Friday, Dec. 6 at 10 am pacific. In case any of you don’t hit the Forum where this has been discussed a little more in depth, it’s interesting to note that May 10th is actually Danny’s BDay. MJK’s BDay is April 17. Not sure what’s going on there.
I wouldn’t have thought it’s much more than in April he’s he private plans for a party, and the 10th of May is just the next available date that suits the various band members. Most likely just a coincidence it’s Danny’s Birthday as well.
Maybe we could read into it that Maynard birthday falls just before Coachella and he may have some other shows to attend…
i forgot about dannys b day but the only reason i figured it was on this date is just that! the venue is avaiable then or whatever and its just a timing thing. still. how about put the party hats away and get on with tool! maybe the goody bags will have the new tool album in it! 😮
In case anyone cares, there are still presale tickets available on ticketbastard. Password is OUTSIDER. I didn’t find the password until about 2 hours after sale time. Right now the only seats that are coming up are pretty crappy (section c, back rows), but I was able get 2 tickets in section B by hitting the search button over and over again. Total price for both tickets was $122 and change.
