After a successful trial as part of the Australian tour last year, it appears that Tool will be continuing VIP tickets for shows in the US in this upcoming tour. Details are a little sketchy, but it appears ticket swill go on sale via Toolarmy and Toolband the day before public sales.
No price has been announced yet (I’m guessing around $300 based on the Australian prices), but this is what you get for your money:
– One (1) VIP ticket for admission to concert show
– Entry for one (1) to the VIP area in the venue
– Access for one (1) to sound check with members of Tool
– Q+A session with Adam Jones
– Exclusive merchandise pack including:1. An exclusive Tool tour t-shirt
2. Poster
3. VIP laminate

We will do a very limited number of the VIP pack pre-sale for Portland, Eugene and San Francisco on Thursday (23rd). This will be on Toolarmy.com at 10:00am PST
and then on Toolband.com at 3:00pm PST.Then we will do another small number of VIP pack pre-sales for Spokane and Reno on Friday (24th) at 10am PST on Toolarmy.com and 3pm PST on Toolband.com.
Seems like a better deal cause this one includes an actual concert ticket. That also means the price might be higher.

I don’t think it’s some vast conspiracy theory – they probably just haven’t finalised the details of what to charge. Considering it’s on sale in a couple of days time I expect it’ll be out very shortly.
Sounds to me like the VIP experience is pretty much the same as the Aussie one. Price and value discussions aside, everyone who I spoke to who attended one of these was really happy with the experience.
Is it possible to get a refund or sell my VIP tickets to San Francisco show?
That would be a better question for someone at Toolband. My advice is that you contact them directly.
How tough is getting these tickets without toolarmy access? How’s the ordering off toolband? Are there usually tickets left by that time.

I don’t think anyone can really answer that question except for the band. We don’t know how limited they are, but I’d be surprised if there were only around 50 per show. We also don’t know if any are being reserved for Toolband, or if TA members can potentially buy the whole allocation. Depending on the price, they could sell fast, but then again I don’t remember them selling out at the Australian shows (the $500 cost was a significant barrier for many I expect). I am wondering the same thing, I just recently became a member of Toolarmy and I’m not to familiar with all its inner workings. A friend and I are looking to both get the VIP package but I am the only one with TA account. Will I be able to buy two or do we both need our own separate accounts? No idea – I’ve asked Blair though. I suspect that each TA member will be able to get one ticket plus a guest.

Buying stuff on TA is pretty easy. I think the biggest issue will be demand. I expect the tickets will be priced highly enough that most will be put off, but for shows in bigger towns such as SF I’d expect tickets may sell quite quickly.
There’s certainly lots of people talking about getting VIP tickets. As to how many of these follow through when the price is announced is anyones guess.
Ok, just heard back from Blair, he doesn’t know what the limit will be, but he doesn’t think it will be 1 per person.

Hey (Sweating12) it’s at the Reno Events Center, you can get a room at Harrah’s for less than the price of a ticket probably. It’s only a few blocks away. I know this because I stayed there when I saw them at that same venue in 2012. Unless you’re looking to stay in the area longer than a night?

Las Vegas, Phoenix and Cedar Park TX is what I’m hearing. None of them come from an especially reliable source though, so take with a grain of salt.

Intronaut are touring Between the Buried and Me and Deafheaven in March, so I doubt they will be supporting.

The Cedar Park one comes from someone claiming to know the owner. It’s second (possibly third) hand information, so who’s to say how legit it is.

I looked at the seating chart for Spokane, and they had the floor sectioned off, making it appear like there was no GA. Hmmm. After what I just had to go through to give them 1000 bucks, I hope they’re good seats! I am not interested in being in a pit full of fuck tards… Please let me know if you hear anything on this. I would imagine awesome seats included. The VIP packages with wine tasting for APC and Puscifer that were half the price included seats right up front, usually the first 5 rows or so. It’s much better to fuck the POS scalpers who buy the best tickets and mark them way up instead of working a real job.

Main desk told me the floor tix are seats. The tix map shows this as well. I assume the blacked out parts of the map are VIP but thats just a guess.

I checked my cc I have been charged, it’s fully posted and not pending. Not sure whats going on with the charges. I haven’t gotten the email yet about when to pick up tix either I’m sure that will come closer to the event date.
