I’m sure he was looking for the heavy media exposure that pairing with her created.
It’s sad that people buy into that shit in the first place… those people make money hand over fist for doing absolutely nothing of true value. They are basically puppets. Obviously there’s some sort of value to it but that’s the saddest part… that people actually value what they do…
The pop industry suits got it right though… have the kids grow up with the stars and when they turn 18 make sure they are set to self destruct… instant money!

Talking about Miley and Maynard being on the same project… I’m mostly speaking of Miley and anything she’s associated with which includes any and all pop stars. Some people I talk to… Wow is it scary how enfatuated they are with the pop realm and celebrity status. I hear ya…. I don’t mind cover records necessarily. the dark side of the
moon cover album was good. weird in parts and I fully expect the Beatles cover record to be weird as well. which is good.

Great that they’re donating proceeds to charity, but as a long time fan of the Beatles this looks tremendously awful. Despite the fact that APC’s “Imagine” cover is one of the very, very few Beatles-related covers I even like, I can’t imagine Maynard saving more than just the track he’s on.
