Primus have confirmed that Danny will join them once more at a special New Years show in Oakland, CA December 31:
Danny Carey will will join Les, Larry and Tim on New Years Eve at the Fox Theater in Oakland, CA. The Uber Drum Spectacular promises to be a one of kind performance to ring in the New Year.

Super stoked, really gonna be a fun night. When Danny said he was joining then for NYE on COS I thought it would be just a song or two at midnight (they usually have guest come out after the countdown). So a full set with 2 drummers will be awesome! I remember when TIm Alexander jammed with Tool in SF in 2007, it was awesome! Glad Danny will ‘return the favor’.
puscifer at nokia LA april 2009 was first time i saw danny and tim drum together – on full opposing kits. man that was sick. some of you also remember tim was the original touring drummer for APC during the fall 99 club shows, caught 2 of those and tim’s band laundry opened so he did 2 sets each night. what’s “funny” is tim is not credited on “mer de noms” (at least not on wiki page) so josh freese must’ve stepped in just after that tour. anyway, i wonder if other drummers will guest at the NYE shows. i… Read more »
