As promised, today sees the release of the new track from Puscifer – Grand Canyon. The track itself doesn’t stray far from what you’d expect from Puscifer, and it has a cool video to accompany it.
Also revealed is the title of the new Puscifer album, Money Shot. According to Rolling Stone we can expect to see it released on October 30, 2015.
While Tool continue to drag out the suspense surrounding the long-overdue follow-up to 2006’s 10,000 Days – and to prank the exasperated fans awaiting it – the band’s ever-prolific singer Maynard James Keenan has another record in the pipeline from his electro-rock project Puscifer. The group will release its third album, Money Shot, on October 30th, and has offered the first sights and sounds from the new LP with the video for “Grand Canyon,” which can be viewed above.
The video for Puscifer Grand Canyon is directed by Maynard James Keenan, Puscifer and Ghost Atomic. It’s shot by Gavin Fisher and Odin Wadleigh and edited by Odin Wadleigh and Michael Marlett.
Will they (or have they) release this as a single for download?
I imagine they will, but I haven’t heard anything. Don’t be surprised if it hits iTunes in the near future.
I believe you mean 2015.
You are correct my friend. I should never post before lunchtime!
I just don’t get the Puscifer thing… Any recommendations on specific songs I should listen to?
I’ve listened to all of the albums but maybe I’m missing something?
I just can’t get into it but feel weird because a lot of people really enjoy it.
It’s ok to not like them Z. Puscifer are a good band, and I enjoy their music, but they’re not a great one.
Someone like you should own a signed Puscifer tshirt you paid $400 for on eBay shouldn’t you?
Hellboy – thanks man – much more user/mobile-friendly now.
Z-werewolf – re- isten to these as they are my faves and I like to think of Puscifer as Hershey Kisses without the almond in the middle. Yeah, it’s not as good but it’s still fucking chocolate.
humbling river, man overboard, the mission.
Hope I get these and, more importantly, MJK coming out with DefTones to sing Passenger at MonsterMash.

Hellboy – I’ll give it one more go around but I’m sure I just don’t like them. I liked the song “Potions”… “Indigo Children” was a good one… That’s about it…
Maynerd – Uh… nope! That’s not me, you must have me confused for somebody else. I’m not sure why you’d make that assumption about me but ok.
Stinkfist – I’ll check em out. As for Maynerd doing passenger with Deftones… That was the first thing that came to mind when I saw the bill. Bad ass! Wish I could go.
Maynard and the Deftones have been on several festivals together in the last few years and Passenger hasn’t happened. I wouldn’t want anyone to be getting their hopes up!
But have the been at the same fest, on the same day, in MJK’s backyard, on Halloween?!?
Mmmhmmmm…I didn’t think so.
With this being my 20th tool show I’ve been around long enough to know not to get my hopes up about anything but I’m flying across the country for this damn show so LOGIC BE DAMNED!!!!!!

Having a look at Sunday’s (likely) lineup:
http://www.monstermashaz.com/#!sunday/c1tat
If those bands stay in the same order as listed, and taken that the bands are staggered so as not to overlap, Puscifer would play the West stage right before Deftones play the East stage, so I guess that would be up to Maynard being “done with the day” after his own performance, or feeling like singing one more song in someone else’s set.
I’d do it myself but I don’t want to offend UndKeineEier with my mad html skills.
Well so much for my html pun skills. Wouldn’t take my “insert obligatory Dumb & Dumber – ‘So you’re saying there’s a chance!’ quote here” since I encapsulated it in brackets.
Jokes on me, Bro.

Plus I’m dusting off my sweet ass (skinny) Elvis costume for this shindig.
