Puscifer Money Shot Tour and Release Announcement

Details have been released today with further info on their coming tour supporting the release of the new Puscifer album Money Shot. In a lengthy press release below, Maynard reveals the bands plan to tour with a range of shows in November and December following the Monster Mash Festival.

You can pre-order the Money Shotnew Puscifer album Money Shot from Amazon now!

Jerome, Ariz., Aug. 17, 2015 – Puscifer, who recently announced a new album, Money Shot, and the release of the “Grand Canyon” video https://youtu.be/qtZJiQSmJ9g will be returning to the road, kicking off a six-week outing on Nov. 1 at the Monster Mash Festival in Phoenix.
“As is the Modus Operandi of Puscifer, there will be a whole new show to accompany the Money Shot release. We’ve been leaving a few clues here and there as to what it may entail,” said Keenan. “As usual, we prefer to Show rather than Tell. Odds are if you’ve been a fan of the diverse nature of our performances in the past, you’ll want to go ahead and place those bets.”
It’s no surprise that Maynard James Keenan choose to debut the electro rock band-meets-comedy troupe on a Las Vegas stage (Puscifer’s first shows were at The Pearl Concert Theater at Palms Casino Resort). In the intervening years, we’ve met a cadre of characters including Billy D and Hildy Berger, Major Douche, Peter Merkin and spent time around a campfire, with an Airstream in the background, as audiences enjoyed a Sonoran sunset. Puscifer, who thrive on the element of surprise, have revamped their stage show, with no spoilers to share, we can only say it exceeds the production seen in recent outings.

The live line-up for the Money Shot tour includes Keenan, Mat Mitchell, Carina Round, Jeff Friedl, Mahsa Zargaran and the newest addition, Paul Barker (Ministry, Lead Into Gold).
Money Shot physical pre-order packages are available now via www.Puscifer.com. The various offerings include both signed and unsigned copies of the new album as well as an instant download of “Grand Canyon.”

I guess that pretty much guarantees Tool won’t be recording at all this year. Awesome. Little chance the Tool album gets released in 2016 either if they won’t even get back to jamming as a full band until the new year. They should title the new album “Chinese Democracy 2”.

Hi, I’ve been visiting the FourtEye.net fot a couple of years now and I enjoyed every bit of it. Thanks for all the updates on the various projects, always nice to read. Living in Belgium, I allready enjoyed the life performances of Tool, A Perfect Circle, but I was wondering if it would ever be possible if the Puscifer Circus would come over the ocean to play some European shows? I read a few posts ago that somebody of the FourtEye.net is in contact with at least one of the members of the Tool/Puscifer-related projects, so I dare to ask… Read more »

yet i am quite sure that this won’t delay the new album in any way. maynard seems to be very keenan on getting this album out. he mentioned repeatedly that he does all he can to push the new record forward. the other guys are slow. and now danny has a newborn to take care of. and adam keeps saying they won’t rush it. there you go. patience is gold in this sound mine.

Ah what the hell. I’m not a big Puscifer fan, but I just bought a couple tickets for Charlotte.

Just a little helpful info for those considering the Vegas show… I called the Pearl Concert Theater box office and got fifth row center stage for $111 per ticket. This is much better than anything I was being offered on TM and minus the $20 service fee. VIP packages could NOT be purchased through the box office.

I’m sorry, but this puts the nail in the coffin for Tool with me. Maynard doesn’t want to dip into deeper waters emotionally anymore, and I’ve learned to accept it, look for it elsewhere, and do my best to create something 1/8 as good as my favorite Tool albums. Thank you for everything, Maynard. While I’m upset with his new preference of the tongue-in-cheek Puscifer, I can’t become ‘upset’ with someone who has shaped the person I am today/prevented me from becoming someone worse. Peace and thank you, Maynard.

It’s been documented to ad nauseam status over the last few years, but this is not a Maynard issue. The issue resides with Justin and Adam. Two guys who either can’t be bothered to work on the riffs, or just can’t come up with anything…
Probably a combination of both.

I’m sorry but what a bunch of shite. MJK is one of the more selfish arrogant artists I have ever had the displeasure of reading, following, & consuming. Don’t get my wrong I love every creative outlet Maynard is involved with but I am absolutely convinced that he is a total pr!ck. Why do I say that? Because he or his assistants will ban you the moment you say anything sidewides (meaning not a critique directly but something more akin to ‘meh’ or neutral) about the official websites or the merchandise or something else not directly involving the music. Yes,… Read more »

I don’t want to sound mad but I guess I am a little disillusioned. I have a friend who met him backstage and said he was really nice and down to earth but that was a good 14 years ago now. I have a few friends who have met him recently in AZ and they said he had snob douche written all over him. And no, they are not fans of T00L and did not ask him about T00L. I don’t care for the air of superiority he carries around with himself. Even if it were just due to people… Read more »

MJK doesn’t write tool music. blame lazy bones jones…

I’m not a MJK apologist and actually don’t even like Pu$cifer. never tasted a drop
of his whine (misspell intentional). he’s a diva no doubt but he’s just tired of being asked about t00l which is why he gets pissy at wine signings and what have you.

One last thought (and please excuse the typos in my last reply. I am typing on a tablet)
you know all those middle fingers Maynard likes to give out? Guess who those are for?
Just remember that people.
It will always be amazing music with thoughtful lyrics that inspire but that ego appears to have devoured the once humble musician.

Oh yeah, Puscifer… mhmm… cool story bro…

In other non-related TOOL discussion, Aaron Harris has been hanging out with Deftones for a whole tour… is it possible that in down time he and Chino are working on new Palms material? This is kind of how they did it on the last album… (Deftones on tour and Palms are recording)….

Thoughts?

Is majordoucheismyhero MJK in disguise?… If the guy wasnt a genius none of this would ever exist. Why would he spend his time waiting for Adam by doing nothing? There are lots of great guitarists. How many truly great singers are there?
