I’m sure many of you have noticed that Fourtheye has been down the last few days, and also down far too often in the last few months. Well, enough was enough, and the decision was made to shift the server to a more reliable location, and here we are!
Fingers crossed we won’t see any more downtime in the near future, from either Fourtheye or Tool!
While I’m talking about Fourtheye, let me advertise our Slack channel. Slack is a chat service, which seems to be pretty popular at the moment. Functionally it’s a bit like a cross between an IRC chat room, and an instant messaging service. A month or so ago I decided to create a Slack chat room, and encourage members of the forum to join. The experiment was somewhat successful, but we’re always keen for more to join us. The catch is you need to be invited via an email address, which then becomes visible to other members of the chat. If you’re like to join us for our often irreverent talks about Tool, music and cat videos, feel free to contact me with an email address you’d like me to invite. If privacy is an issue for you, feel free to register a temporary email to get access – once you’re invited you only need the email address for password recovery.
