Tool San Bernadino show on the cards?

There was a rumour yesterday on Reddit of a Tool show in San Bernadino, California, with the likely venue being the San Manuel Ampitheater.  Today on Toolband Blair has posted a photo of the area with the label “Tool 06-24” which on the surface of things would appear to confirm June 24th as the date.

Hopefully we’ll get confirmation of it soon.  I suspect this will possibly be the final date of the tour.  Not sure what happened to the Anaheim rumour – perhaps the show will still go ahead, but I’m thinking that didn’t work out for one reason or another and San Bernadino is the replacement.  It’s a big venue, apparently holds 65k so would be a good way for the band to wind up the tour.

We’re not thinking that being an image of a baseball field it relates to the so-called ‘Curveball’?

Looks kind of like a baseball field, but it’s not. Just an amphitheater, yah?

i live 20 minutes from this place. definitely a standard variety outdoor theater. the 65k capacity is a bit outlandish… ozzfest, Knotfest, mayhem fest have all hosted shows there and it’s maybe 40k tops. i think the 65k est. is taking the lawn and side stage lawn area into account.

They’re gonna play the new album live for the final show at this venue… The most wicked of curveballs had so much movement on it that 65K people ended up permanently cross-eyed and the National Guard was called in to help people find their cars.

Holds 65,000? Is there another example of Tool playing a show this large that wasn’t a festival?

Is this Tool’s largest ever non-festival show?
