Great Instrumental Album! Subtle Tool influences can be picked throughout.

Amenra – Mass VI is a great post-metal album. It’s like ocean waves crashing into you on a dark night.

I also enjoyed Beck’s album, Colors. It’s the kind of chill wave music that doesn’t suck

Most years I struggle to think of 10 albums that truly resonated with me in the year. This year, I had way too many, and had trouble narrowing it down!

Definite favorites from 2017 include:

The Horrors – V
METZ – Strange Peace
Cloud Nothings – Life Without Sound
The War on Drugs – A Deeper Understanding
Converge – The Dusk in Us
DFA79 – Outrage! Is Now

I should’ve nominated Foo Fighters – Concrete and Gold

I know Foo Fighters are way too mainstream now but there’s a few songs on the new album that are really good.

I saw them in concert for the first time in 2017 and they put on a damn good performance. Right up there with our favorite band.
