Although I appreciate the authors eagerness for a new album. It amuses me to see how he twisted it, to shove it to the general populace as fact. I guess we all have to make a living somehow.

I’m kinda hoping they take a Metallica approach and come up with a The Patient 2 or something similar.
In my opinion, I do not care if TOOL took as much time as they needed to conceptualize, write, record and master their new record, just so long as it is their absolute best effort as well as their last effort, not including a vinyl LP of said new record (as well as a vinyl LP release of 10,000 Days as well as some kind of live CD/DVD).
While I suspect this may turn out to be Tool’s last album, I don’t imagine the band are in the studio going “this is our last shot, let’s make it a good one”

That’s what The Beatles did.
In my Opinion Abbey Road is by far the best of the Beatles…Golden Slumbers is ASTOUNDING. Oh wait we are talking Tool though, sorry guys, tangent.
What are the odds of this thing dropping this next month, or June when the US Tour starts? They have done May releases before (10,000 Days and Lateralus if I am not mistaken).

I understand that TOOL is probably not going to create their last album with the best-record-as-our-last’s-sake mentality, but I have to ask . . . how can they not think like that?
LOL! I like yours better.
