$250 Undertow CD now available

High up on the average Tool fans wish list is a limited edition Undertow CD, and I know many were emotional wrecks after it was sold as a tour exclusive at recent shows. Fret no more Tool fans, this limited* edition reissue is now available for $250 from the Toolband store. It looks great for the most part, and was designed by bassist Justin Chancellor with a pretty nifty package… Read More »$250 Undertow CD now available

Three of these shows are the local variant of Lollapalooza, while in Columbia it’s the Festival Estereo Picnic. Giving more credence to the report that Tool were planning to visit Chile in 2025, a recent Tweet from respected Brazilian music journalist José Norberto Flesch suggests that an announcement is imminent: Word is that the South American variant of Lollapalooza – held in Chile, Brazil and Argentina will be announced on the 3rd of September, and that Tool will be the headline act. Could be a historic day for… Read More »South American Tool rumours intensify

5 year Fear Inoculum Anniversary coming soon…

According to a the most recent COSM Newsletter, something is coming on the 30th of August to mark the 5th anniversary of Tool‘s Fear Inoculum. No real clue as to what, but given the context of the announcement I expect it will be something that Alex Grey will autograph and sell: As we approach the 5th anniversary of Fear Inoculum, it’s time to honor the album that redefined rock. Something… Read More »5 year Fear Inoculum Anniversary coming soon…

Tool rumour mill suggests Chile in 2025

Tool rumour mill suggests Chile in 2025

It’s been a while between Fourtheye posts, but we’re not dead (yet!) I’ve had an article sent my way from La Latercera, a Chilean publication which – based on a dodgy Google Translation – suggests that talks are underway to bring Tool down to Santiago in 2025. There’s also some suggestion that there could be other dates, I assume in these would also be in the region of South America.… Read More »Tool rumour mill suggests Chile in 2025

Paul D’Amour chats with Bass Player

A little while back we had a snippet of an interview with former Tool bass player Paul D’Amour where he talks about working with Justin as he joined the band. The whole thing is now out on Guitarworld, and it’s an interesting read, with plenty of insight into Paul’s time with the band, and his ultimate departure. Paul’s humble and measured replies are pretty interesting, and I enjoyed it quite… Read More »Paul D’Amour chats with Bass Player

Maynard and co. recently wrapped up the Sessanta tour across the US, during which Primus, Puscifer and A Perfect Circle performed a huge set. Adam & Maynard chat to Metal Hammer

  • Tool

In a recent Tool interview with Metal Hammer, Adam Jones and Maynard James Keenan catch up with Steve Appleford for a discussion about the recent US tour, Tool stuff and life in general. It’s a good read, though in some ways doesn’t have a heap of things we haven’t read before. I suppose the more interesting snippets for long time Tool fans relate to what’s coming up next. Maynard indicates… Read More »Adam & Maynard chat to Metal Hammer
