Triumph, Notes from the Crew

Blair tells us that Mike Savage from Pigmy Love Circus has triumphed over hs bout of throat cancer.  Apparently he’s ready for his next challenge, which I’m sure some hope is a new Pigmy’s album.

The Notes From The Crew section in Toolarmy finally got a start today, and it’s been revealed that Eric, the bands stage manager is writing it.  In his first post he talks about how Tool’s equipment is transported from one continent to another.  Hopefully the first in what will be in interesting journal. Thanks to Adam for suggesting he writes these notes for us.

More Bonnaroo Pictures

Nocode4444 from Toolarmy tells us that his mate Ryan has posted some great Bonnaroo including several of Tool.  Head over to this site to see them (they’re a little way in) and comment on what you think of Adam’s pigtails!

Renovations! Tool Stuff! New Stereoscopic pics! Puscifer Video!

Sorry about the lack of posts the last few days.  As some of you know we’ve just moved and brought a house.  The house we’ve brought needs a bit of work, so that last 4 days of my live have revolved around renovating it!  Anyway, it’s all going well and now I’m back at work full time, I should have more time to spending posting stuff.

In the last couple of days though there have been plenty of little bits of info floating around.  Firstly, according to Meats Meier, a new video has been recorded for Maynard‘s Puscifer project.  The video reportedly have a motion captured 3D render of Maynard breakdancing, amongst other things.  Sounds interesting.  Thanks to the Tool Hotline for the tip.

Also on the Tool Hotline is a theory that 10,000 Days synchronises with the Wizard of Oz.  Personally I don’t go for that synchronisation crap, but for those of you with plenty of time on your hands, check it out and let us know.

Toolband has confirmed the second Tool show in Hamilton on the 24th of June at Copps Collesium.

Finally, Toolarmy has a series of headache inducing stereoscopic pictures taken by Adam during the recent tour.  No live shots unfortunately.  Toolarmy Members only!

Tool Photo Album

For those of you who may have missed it, there’s now a Photo Album page accessable from the News page on Toolarmy.

Pre-Sales, Reviews and a Picture

Toolarmy has been posting lots of details on the US Tour Pre-Sales.  For all you US and Canadian Tool fans who are after a ticket, I’d suggest you log on and check out the details for your show before it’s tool late.  Shows in Baton Rouge and La Cruces are on sale as I write this.

I’ve had a couple of reviews for the recent Tool Australian tour.  Reeps and Charred Remains both submitted some interesting thoughts on the shows.  Check them out:

Anyone else with a review can feel free to send them to me.

Finally, here’s another pic from my series of Big Day Out Photo’s.  This one was taken during The Pot from memory.

Pre-sales Spoiled? Wings For Marie Lyrics

According to Blair, it seems that there were pre-sales for the recently announced US Dates, and that some members of Toolarmy decided it would be a good idea to release this password.  Rather than sharing the love, it seems that this has resulted in scalpers purchasing these pre-sale tickets instead.  I’m sure these members were trying to do the right thing, but it looks like it’s backfired on them.  Allegedly the bands management know who these people are as well.  I’m guessing in the future they may not be offered pre-sales.  Hopefully this has closed the possibility of further pre-sales down the track (not that I’m expecting us Aussies will ever get one).
In other news, it looks like the lyrics for Wings For Marie have been made available as a Toolarmy exclusive.  I’m guessing it’ll be just a matter of time before these find their way into the real world.

Lateralus “Platinum” Plaques

Just in case the Signed Lateralus Vinyl hasn’t burnt a big enough hole in your wallet, there is now a Lateralus “Platinum” Plaque available for Toolarmy members which celebrates Lateralus selling 1,000,000 copies. They’re not cheap though, at US$206.00 (plus US$16 postage to Australia, around $288 all up in Australian dollars), you’d better hope your credit cards aren’t maxed out….

It’s a limited edition apparently, though how limited we aren’t told.  They are still available as of 11:13 AEST.

Times Leader speaks with Justin

Times Leader in Pennsylvania speak with Justin ahead of the coming Tool show at Wachovia Arena. Justin talks about writing 10,000 Days in a somewhat uninspired article.

In other news, there’s more exclusive pictures from Camella up Toolarmy, mainly of the band members but one interesting one of a Tool fan with the Aenima Eye’s tattoeed on his shoulders.

Maynards Dreams

There’s an exclusive post on Toolarmy, supposedly discussion some dreams Maynard has been having lately.  In the spirit of reading too much into things, I’m going to suggest that the 24th of July is a date to watch.

Here’s an excerpt for you non-TAers:

I was in an old school vintage arcade playing Mr Do with David Hasslehoff and Leonard Nimoy. (I think I was drinking Dekuyper’s Spearmint Schnapps out of a Pepsi cup, but it could have just as easily been Peach. Im not sure the relevance.)
