It seems like, with the addition of his new film, Maynard James Keenan has been involved in a lot more interviews recently.
It makes me think about the old days, where these media outlets would be so lucky just to get Maynard to avoid talking about TOOL’s music and to poke fun at them, or something else, in a few short sentences and call that an interview.

I just went to the 2 puscifer shows in DC. They were excellent! I got quite a bit of video that I’m in the process of posting and editing and all that, I’ll share it when I’m done.
We were sitting about 8 rows back on Friday and the bouncers busted me a couple of times taking footage but let me stay…after the show one of the meatheads came up to me and demanded my camera, i refused adamently and he started ushering me somewhere…he kept grabbing at me and finally i pulled out my phone, punched in 9-1-1 and said touch me again motherfucker and I’ll call the cops. He released my arm and told me to just leave.
The next day I did not bring the video camera and his buddy said, “I hope you don’t want to take more video tonight, cause my friend will throw you out instantly.” I said no worries and enjoyed the 2nd show that much more without the paranoia of having the camera…anyway, here are 2 pics.

If I ever get a chance to interview MJK (or anyone else in Tool) one question I'd ask is what they read while they're on the toilet pooping.

One thing that occurred to me while reading this… I wish someone in one of these dozens of recent interviews would ask him the obvious (to all of us here and on TA anyway) question… In light of PussyFur’s “different show every night” work ethic… why has TººL in contrast played virtually the same set for years touring on 10,000 days? I’ve heard various answers, and I’m not slagging (I dug every live TººL show I’ve attended, regardless of the set list) I would just like to hear Maynard’s thoughts on the subject.

Yeah, that’s a good question Kittaan. If I ever get a chance to interview Maynard I’ll be sure to ask him!

Yeah, that was a good read. I am very happy that I decided not to let my initial dislike of V is for VaJayJay stop me from witnessing PussyFur live. I thoroughly enjoyed the show, and I would definitely go again.
