Re: The Grudge (WARNING: It Hapenned!!)

People are arrogant to think they are intelligent enough to comprehend this album on just one or two or even a handful of listens. Not even listening to this thing constantly will make you like it necessarily. It takes actual time to go by before it really can take root in your brain. Repeated liste...

Re: Fear Inoculum

"besides, who's actually read this far anyway?" There's the only proofread I noticed! Great review! We had the same experience for the most part, down to seeing the earliest live versions of CCTrip and devouring every crumb of a bootleg as they came and loving every second of it. It's been...

It can be true if you want. Even Maynard would say that you can interpret the songs however you want. Serendipity works in mysterious ways..

Yeah I think Legion is Justin's because it has some bass manipulation on it and sounds similar to the type of electronic music he seems to like

I love that detail in the percussion. Reminds me of the end of Disposition going into Reflection!

Re: Pneuma

This track does have that Lateralus feel to me. That pristine super glossy tone in the bass sounds like that whole record to me, but it is has a sort of darker energy too. The part after Wake Up Now Child is one of the darkest introspective bass parts from any Tool song. Love it so much. Exactly wha...

Re: Fear Inoculum (track)

Yes I have a new appreciation for the song after reading that analysis. Interesting how Right in Two was the final song on 10k days and Fear Inoculum is the first on the following record. Seems to be a trend with all the albums in a way. Always wondered if Tool intended it that way..

Can you believe there are people who think this shit sucks? Even when a real obviously unique piece of art is created, people still literally use the word garbage when describing it..🙃

Re: Random Tool Social Media thread

Excited to see what the people who are going in totally blind will think. The rest of us were lead up to gradually so we sort of were knew what to expect when it comes to how the album will sound. I don't regret knowing because I wanted to get those first listens out of the way and get familiar with...

Re: Fear Inoculum with SPOILERS

I agree Kittaan. Some people on here sure have some whack opinions. But I guess they feel that way about people who actually enjoy every second of this new Tool record. For me there is an infinite amount of things that keep my interest. There isn't enough hours in the day to satisfy how much I want ...

Re: Fear Inoculum with SPOILERS

Random thoughts after hearing FI about 6 or 7 times straight through: It's a very solid album overall. Perhaps could have used another track or two, something shorter ("shorter" like The Grudge or Vicarious...)? Maybe, for some variety. That might be my biggest criticism. Tempest is a bit...

Re: Fear Inoculum with SPOILERS

Yeah even Tempest is starting to go by really fast for me now. The others ones seemed to all go by really fast on first listen just tempest was noticeable longer but still went by really fast for how long it is. How can you even cut anything out of Tempest. It hits hard the whole time, not a 'boring...
