Re: TOOL Fall 2023 tour

Slight variations in the setlist throughout the tour, maybe a song or two. I don't recall the band doing that very often.

Just curious. Has there been any official explanation as to why Salival isn't available through Spotify or other streaming services?

Re: Random Tool Social Media thread

Eight full days between Miami and Boston? That would be a bit unusual...

Any chance they'd hit up Atlanta, the Carolinas, or Nashville on their eight day trip to the Northeast?

I thought someone in the band previously hinted that they weren't especially enthusiastic about releasing official live footage until after they decide to stop touring.

Re: Random Tool Social Media thread

How the intermission was presented was certainly the intention of the question, for sure. The question just wasn't clearly stated and/or misinterpreted.

Re: Random Tool Social Media thread

Hey Junior, any inside information you can share on why the intermission happens the way it does? Instead of keeping the lights lowered and some Tool-ish music playing while the guys take a break what's with the silence and turning the lights back on? Yep, for me this killed the atmosphere. Felt li...

Re: Random Tool Social Media thread

For whatever reason, it feels fairly comfortable to stay away from the new recordings until after I see them in a few days. This will almost certainly be my only chance to ever hear Tool play live music that I've never heard before.

hellboy wrote: Sat May 04, 2019 9:14 am As much as I wish there was, none of the sources I speak to say there are any plans for a release of anything following the show.
Do you think this means they simply don't know, or do you think they could be skeptical a release is imminent based on other contextual knowledge?

Re: Random Tool Social Media thread

Yeah, it's a bit intriguing that Tool seems prepared to play a new song without releasing the studio version first (assuming it's not dropped tomorrow).

But hey, good for them.

Re: Random Tool Social Media thread

So they're debuting stuff on an outdoor festival stage knowing the rest of the world is going to see/hear it though some shitty crowd recording. No complaints, but that's just... weird I don't think it's how anyone really wants to see it go down, but here we are. I half expect that the festival sho...

Re: Random Tool Social Media thread

What's the minimum notice the band might resonably give before dropping a single? I assume a digital single release wouldn't require much notice at all. Would radio markets need advance info?

Just curious - asking out of a bit of ignorance on the subject.

After a quick search, I couldn't find any tickets available for $20. Someone told me Epicenter had something like a buy one get one free (or buy two get one) promotion a couple months ago.

Re: Random Tool Social Media thread

I'm worried the 18 minute song will be shit and a large part of the album wasted. That's the kind of negative hype people need to be getting on board with. Their track record on long songs is flawless, so I have no such concerns If I remember correctly, Adam mentioned that Descending was a preview ...

Re: Random Tool Social Media thread

I imagine they'd prefer to release details as soon as possible, to keep leaks from dampering an official announcement.

I assume timing of promotional activities also plays a significant role.

Re: Random Tool Social Media thread

So what's the deal with the anagram?

Admittedly, I haven't kept up with album rumor mill - so I may be missing some context. Tool doesn't seem to release information in code as often as fans would like to believe. Any thoughts?

Re: Random Tool Social Media thread

Vicarious is just kinda mah and i could do without it Vicarious bumps! How can you have that opinion? Danny's drumming goes deeper than bone and that is possibly Adam's most gnarly riff ever. Probably my favorite album opener from them. The bridge in Vicarious is ABSOLUTELY AMAZING - check it out a...

Grabbed some decent/mediocre seats for 120 each including fees and taxes. Seems like supply and demand are the biggest reason for the price - Louisville sold out very quickly.

Re: Random Tool Social Media thread

Keep expecting a few shows to be added in May. Seems odd that they'd preform three festivals a week apart in the Eastern US. Junior, would that be unusual?
