Re: The Grudge
please explain how "It Took The Night To Believe" is even remotely on the level of Tool records. Please explain how you got dressed this morning. You clueless hack. In terms of aesthetics (google THAT if you will) you'd be surprised at how much Tool and Sunn O))) have in common. I like to...

Re: The Grudge
Hey look Tool is touring again buuuuuuuuut.......................no new album.................shocker Tool has announced yet another cash grab Tour with no new album in sight. Slow clap for overpaying to see a band play the same old songs we have all heard thousands of times. Pathetic. Agreed on th...

Re: How will Tool approach the design of the new album?
I don't particularly mind what the cd artwork is like this time around (although I'd like to see Chet Zar helming the design this time round) as long as there are 2 CDS contained within.

It took James Cameron 10 years to realize Avatar into being.
I think there's something in that for everyone here on this forum.

Re: The Grudge
I just had a look at the 2014 BDO line up for the first time.
Probably the worst BDO line up I have ever seen.....and BDO is notorious for terrible line ups.
Anyway where was I? Oh yeah....fucking hell Tool, stop delaying and work on this new shit.
2014 please. Not 15 or 16.

Re: The Grudge
Also, I don't believe a new tool album being completed is dependent on whether or not they play a handful of live shows. Get real If they're spending time preparing for shows - and let's face it, something as big as a Tool gig is going to take some planning - then they're not spending time writing ...

Re: The Grudge
How can you knock a band for playing live shows? It's kind of...you know...what they primarily exist to do... To the best of my knowledge, bands generally tend to release albums too. To tour the same album, with more or less the same setlist for 7 and a half years is borderline pathetic. How long d...

Ta da.Anyway expecting to hear a new song (other than that pre-Schism segue) if kidding themselves though.

You honestly think the setlist is going to include any new "surprises"??ilikecheese wrote:Hey!
Here's a fucking idea!
Why don't we wait until after
the first concert to judge the 'setlist?'
If you do, then you obviously haven't been paying attention for the last 5 or 6 years.

Wouldn't a tour promoting the new album AFTER it has been released be an even bigger cash grab?

Re: Petition for a Tool and System of a Down tour
I see it differently, this is at least time they are all together for a few weeks playing music. Why cant they write/discuss/solidify new tunes during the day/days off and play shows at night? Little do we know a release date is imminent. They have used this excuse many times before - to no effect.

Re: Petition for a Tool and System of a Down tour
Do they keep doing these mini tours just to avoid working on the new album?? I fail to see what the purpose of all this is. How often do bands who are holed up, working on their next magnum opus, constantly announce tours here, there and everywhere before the thing is finished? Finish the album, tou...

I'll laugh when all them inked up 22 year olds turn 50 and their skin starts to wrinkle. Most of them won't make it to 50 anyway I suppose. I hear ice is becoming the party drug of choice nowadays. If they manage to hit the studio by September of this year I'll keel over from shock.
Anyway, they've got a lot of hiking / fishing / bbqing / camping / surfing / holidaying to do, so let's not get in their way.....
