To be honest, I did just by one of these hoodies... LATERALUS EYE FLAME BLACK CAMO HOODIE
I've got another FI hoodie from the 2019/2020 tour & it's actually incredibly warm, comfy, lightweight etc.

Fear Inoculum - tool Imaginaerium - Nightwish Alternative IV - Anathema Souvenirs - the Gathering The Fragile - nine inch nails Nice work! And Bobby: seeing APC open for NIN around this time (1999/2000) would have been fantastic! I'm very jealous. Last time I saw NIN live they played Somewhat Damag...

Re: Random Tool Social Media thread
Sorry man, but I didn't allow greatest hits or compilations of any kind... otherwise my dad goes with Remasters and it's a wrap.
But Soul to Squeeze, Under the Bridge, Californication, Parallel Universe are all nice! Why isn't Can't Stop on that greatest hits?

Re: Random Tool Social Media thread
Well, while you're in the self-sabotaging act, what music would you listen to one final time? And you've only got time for maybe ONE song or one album...??

Re: Random Tool Social Media thread
Hmmm, speaking of songs preferred over other songs (Third Eye v 7empest is tough for me), I asked my dad the other day about picking his 5 albums for the crazy hypothetical situation of "Imagine you're trapped in solitude for the rest of your life and you're only allowed to listen to 5 albums f...

Re: Lateralus 20th Anniversary
10k days came out on May 2, 2006. The leak came around MJK's birthday in mid-April. Anyway, this thread made me think about the possibility of TOOL releasing a 30th anniversary of Opiate on March 10th next year, 2022. They obviously did the extended version of the song Opiate on tour back in 2015 to...

Re: Random Tool Social Media thread
Also, because it had promised "New Everything" I was incredibly excited when I saw the fourth tab said TOUR. For about half a second I thought "Maybe they might be able to pencil in some November 2021 dates" etc.
It was a fun half a second while it lasted...

Re: Random Tool Social Media thread
I was kinda hoping that clicking on the final tab listed as 'Fear Inoculum' would suddenly reveal you can order it on vinyl or some new 'deluxe' version or another update they've made but... nothing too exciting. :( When the signed Lateralus vinyls were just quietly sitting there many many years ago...

Re: Random Tool Social Media thread
Yeah I know, the Foo Fighters being on the Friday night etc. However, it only lists TOOL as having 1 gig in 2021, namely the Thursday night slot at Bonnaroo. Anyway, I'm sure we will hear soon enough once 'touring' is allowed to resume as planned. Hopefully the band can start up again in October or ...

Re: Has Tool made too many albums?
No. I think one more album in a few years, say maybe 2025 or so, will be just about right. Some might also argue they haven't made enough albums. Going 13 years between 10,000 Days and Fear Inoculum was obviously frustrating as a fan. Opiate, Undertow, Aenima, Lateralus, 10 000 Days, Fear Inoculum a...

Re: Random Tool Social Media thread
I'll limit my elite list to only 5 or 6 songs I'd find it hard to never hear again: Third Eye 7empest Jambi Stinkfist Pneuma 46 & 2 I was tempted to include Reflection here but only if we can hear the Disposition/Reflection/Triad piece altogether etc. My list above doesn't include any songs from...

Re: Random Tool Social Media thread
Busty I'd rather hear Descending instead of Lateralus right now... I'm sure you agree. I didn't see the 'play Prison Sex twice' suggestion coming though so well done on that one Tyson. Schism with the extended middle part is really solid stuff, and Justin's little telling the crowd to be quiet befor...

Re: Random Tool Social Media thread
Hey, random TOOL question for all of you. Which track from Fear Inoculum do you think will become a staple in their live shows for the next 10 years? Let's say the band stay together making music, maybe one more album in a few years, and keep playing live shows until 2030. I'm thinking of tracks lik...

Re: Random Tool Social Media thread
We had ZERO cases of locally acquired Covid in New South Wales on Wednesday and police are now giving out $200 fines to people who don't wear masks on public transport or in shopping centres... BUT then you read about what's happening in Washington and it changes your perspective.

Re: Random Tool Social Media thread
What exactly are you right about? Has the band confirmed any of your theories here? Have you heard from Adam, Maynard, Danny or Justin to say "Well done!" and "You've cracked this puzzle!" etc.? If you've been sitting on this since February 2020, then you have been delusional for...

Re: Random Tool Social Media thread
Someone who has no clue about any of this, with the arrogance of someone that does and opinions that only downplay the effort Tool made in the structuring of this album doesn't bother me at all, it only strengthens the unfortunate realization that Tool is about a thousand miles above the heads of 9...

Yes it does have relevance. You are just making shit up to fit your narrative.

Re: Random Tool Social Media thread
Oh boy. So now we have the first 7 primes, namely 2, 3, 5, 7, 11, 13 and 17 adding up to 58 as being just another 'example' of the band contributing something cool here? I don't think so. That is you trying to draw meaning out of something that is pretty much nothing. Danny being at the end of his s...

Re: Random Tool Social Media thread

Re: Random Tool Social Media thread
Also, you're now mentioning 58 as having "central and enormous importance" to the concept/structure of the album. I think that is stretching too far. Danny Carey was 58 when the album came out like you said in your video... but the band didn't deliberately choose to wait for Danny to be 58...

Re: Random Tool Social Media thread
Exactly. I brought up 764 seconds. I never said anything about 7 + 6 + 4 = 17. You were the one who took my 764 contribution and pointed out the 7 + 6 + 4 thing. You are delusional. If Adam Jones was available right now, he'd stop you and say "Yeah, I'm sorry but..." You should have presen...
