Re: Random Tool Social Media thread
"Hacked" Yeah, I definitely should have added those quotes as well. :D *Here's the post after the picture was removed: "Diary entry for 28 May (2000) We apologize to both TOOL and MELVINS fans for the incident here over the weekend. We are investigating it, but we are unsure of wheth...

Re: Tool Spring 2017 Tour
There is a very strong rumour (direct from Danny I understand) that there will be a show at Anaheim CA and it's probably the last on the tour. Personally I'd expect a few West Coast dates for come as well, Portland seeming to be an obvious stop. As for a possible Anaheim show, I assume they'd play ...

Re: Random Tool Social Media thread
It is interesting going back through the pre-10k Days newsletters - there are some cool tidbits here and there. Oh yes, I quite agree. I was bummed when they pruned the News Archive section years ago: the earliest visible post at the moment is May 11, 2006. I recently discovered earlier posts are a...

Re: Random Tool Social Media thread
What are we supposed to be looking at in that old newsletter about Rosetta Stoned and magic letters? I must be missing something... Ah, the answer at the top of the Newsletter is "A OR ET TESTS ON D" but if you hover over it with your mouse cursor, the letters rearrange to spell "ROS...

Re: Random Tool Social Media thread
The original lobster references are from TOOL NEWSLETTER - FEBRUARY, 2006 e.v. However in that instance, the entire band traveled to Maine for the mastering. Adam's Instagram post could be a veiled reference to mastering, but I wouldn't bet on it. Recording in secret and having a surprise release re...

Re: TOOL in talks with Apple and Spotify
Not to derail the discussion about streaming, but since vinyl was brought up it prompted me to see how the tracks would be arranged on an eventual '10,000 Days' release. Thankfully it appears that '10,000 Days' would be able to keep it's track order, unlike the 'Lateralus' vinyl. Vicarious 7:06 Jamb...

Re: Random Tool Social Media thread
I do wonder how long they'll actually hang on to The Loft though. With Danny's new place in Malibu, he's now closer to Adam and Justin. Assuming it's his primary residence and that he sold his house in Hollywood, it seems like it would make more sense to find a new place to practice/rehearse near ho...

Re: Random Tool Social Media thread
The video zooms in on random objects and moves around the studio space in a very similar fashion to the 'Tool effing tool' videos... Obviously it is not conclusive evidence of anything, but it leads me to believe that Maynard was the one who actually recorded the video which was posted to Adams ins...

Re: Random Tool Social Media thread
Based on the Total Members counter, memberships have definitely slowed down for TA, and some strange things started happening once they switched over to the new annual membership as well. Anyone that signs up now shows a Member Since "06 JUN 16." Their profile does not appear to reflect th...

Re: Random Tool Social Media thread
It appears there were three new TA members signed-up in the last couple days (based on the Total Members counter). Re: Random Tool Social Media thread
Upwards of 60 members signed in to ToolArmy throughout the day. Strange really, considering the VIP tickets were available through the new web store and not through TA...as Blair's recent update indicated.
Nice to see so many logged in, but still disheartening that there's no way to communicate.

As for MJK's comment about a meteor, I think that's the last thing we need right now.
