That was going to be my comment too. Festival shows dont necessarily equal shit but the only times I've ever seen them having an off day is at a festival.brewdog123 wrote:you got a festival show...MobileVortex wrote:From where i was standing Adam looked upset the whole gig. From his guitar not working at the start, and other technical shit going wrong, they all seemed a little off. This was defiantly in the lower half of the tool shows I've been to.

Sounds like a pretty careless thing to whisper to me

Reading too much into things seems to be at an all time high. I suspect it's more related to Adam being sick (which he's confirmed at a few clinics) rather than him sulking about what Maynard has said.MobileVortex wrote:From where i was standing Adam looked upset the whole gig. Regarding festival shows - the Sydney Big Day Out one in 2007 was my least favorite Tool show by some margin. But the Adelaide one a couple of years later where Rammstein joined them would be in my top 3.

Adam's stage presence would never be considered jovial in my book, so it is hard to tell most of the time anywayBusty McCracken wrote:That was going to be my comment too. Yea i dont think it had anything to do with Maynard, just the technical issues that were happening in the first half of the show. I've never seen so many white lab coats on stage during the show before.hellboy wrote:Reading too much into things seems to be at an all time high. But he wasn’t whispering to you, Busty. It was to RP, and with them it was an inside joke.Busty McCracken wrote:Sounds like a pretty careless thing to whisper to me

Why doesn’t someone ask how many songs are on the new album? Or hey, do you think we could hear a new song, jam, riff, intro? I’ve been surprised at the lack of questions about the new album, there is still a ton of speculation, and now actually opportunities to confirm.

Stupid sexy Raven Pig getting intimate moments with May J. And yeah Xz, that's pretty much how I imagined it all went down.xZ1mM3r wrote:Kittaan wrote:But he wasn’t whispering to you, Busty. Over/Under on how many times that chick got groped while crowd surfing during Grudge? The line is 5.

Hearing Sober again makes me smile. Easy to forgot just how great Undertow is. Overshadowed by Aenima and Lateralus and rightly so, nonetheless, a fantastic piece of work.
I hope I make it long enough to hear the new Tool album. The whole Buddhism thing really never took. I will likely stroke out or have a heart attack in a fit of rage and if so that's okay. Been a good run. But it would be nice to hear some new Tool before my time is done.

Undertow is an absolute belter of an album that still gets plenty of spins from me.

These Tool music clinics seem to be going great, they should put the recording of the new record on hold for awhile and do a worldwide Tool music clinic tour, I'm sure real Tool fans would understand.

You guys and your jokes. Clearly there's more money to be made doing VIP tours.
Re: Random Tool Social Media thread
Props to Ohio for bringing a proper festival crowd. I haven't seen a crowd like that a tool show in 10 years. I had to crowd surf out of the last show of the Lateralus tour in Long Beach during a particularly intense psychedelic adventure and know the feeling of riding the wave. The Grudge is still one of the all time great openers. Sweat is fire and the energy unleashed during schism is always cathartic. I would love to attend the clinic in Philadelphia this week, but $500 is a little rich for my blood. I hope everyone who has and will attend enjoys the opportunity. Looking forward to APC at MSG in Nov, and Tool throughout 2019.
