here,,if its ok. i converted them to mp3 so its more manageable..i get that..mp3 isnt the devil.

Thanks mate. I'm no audiofile expert like Tyson is. If I convert them down is it going to take the quality is it? It's just my laptop is fucked and have no means of plugging it into my good speakers so was hoping to reduce file size so could transfer to my phone so could then Bluetooth to my stereo if that makes sense

Edit: saw you've already done the leg afterwards.. Thanks heaps. Am I much better off listening to the massive files compared to these you've reduced for me or still sounds good? Cheers

no no, mp3 isnt bad. i really mean that..i do use it. i encoded them at 320 kb/s (highest you can go for mp3 and i used the slowest speed to convert. that helps a bit too. u prob wouldnt be able to tell the difference unless u were really listening for it with headphones comparing one to the other or something. even then its subtle. if its another option for people why not!

oh i see! u do want to use your stereo. thats more what i meant about the phone,those speakers! lol still better then YT though. audio on YT suffers the most. video too but it looks pretty good but the audio is poor. real low bitrates and all that.

Vocals in Descending are rather underwhelming, but they serve the song well. Initially I thought the lack of vocals in second half was odd, but now having listened several times, a return to the vocal melody would undercut the “ascension” (ironically) of the music. I’m put off a bit by the Grudge part from 8:30-9:30 but the guitar lead brings it home.

Given that 95% of my music listening is either on the phone or in the car MP3s at a suitable bitrate are just fine for all of that. It's nice to have good quality FLACs on hand for those other times, but more often than not at those times I just put a record/CD on anyway, so it's kinda moot.

you just summed up pretty much how it goes for me. well use to. im old now and i mostly listen to talk radio in the car and not music :S but i totally get that. on the computer i will go for my FLACS but i make mp3s for a friend that doesnt use them and sometimes i just listen to those cause its the folder im on at the time,its not the end of the world! i like to have my collection of certain things in lossless but i can listen to it either way.

Thank you! You're the first person I've heard say they hear the grudge vibes at that part. Not a criticism from me at all but definitely hear the grudge in that lick and the outro to Lateralus in Adams guitar lick in the end also. The first half of the song reminds me of a 10K days era song and the latter half reminds me of Lateralus. Just had my 3rd listen and I'm digging it. Look forward to the studio version muchly. Still sitting on Invincible for now but it's on my phone so will cave shortly I imagine.

Was thinking that I Wouldn't be surprised if Invincible was the title which led me to google greek mythology invincible based on Hboys comment around greek theme which led me to Antaeus. He was a god who was considered invincible while he remained connected to his mother and earth. Ya heard it here first folks, there's the album title / theme. Stay connected to mother earth or we are all fucked

so you dont get anything in 24 bit ? you pussy! haha. actually the Chili Peppers album Mothers Milk has always been one of my favourites. the 24 bit version of that is killer. way more bass then the CD and it isnt too loud or any of that bullshit. sounds great!
