Eh. Yeah......maybe. If I'm bored one rainy afternoon and my better half is off with her stupid pilates class.

The Matrix is everywhere. It is all around us. Happy 20th Anniversary to #TheMatrix.
Back on the big screen from July 12.

I remember how hyped I was leaving the cinema after watching The Matrix, never had seen something quite like it.

Wait we've discussed this before.

^ Like what you did there

Such a dope flick I even liked the other two movies. Yeah they went a little off track but overall still they were still solid.

I'm in the "I liked Matrix 2 & 3" camp personally (as well as the original obviously).

My camps well and truly set up on the other side of the creek. They got substantially worse with each movie for me

at the time i didnt care about it too much. the ideas were ok but nothing that amazing to me. i had just read Bob Frissells ''nothing in this book is true...'' so i was already on a mind trip and a hollywood movie wasnt doing much for me. 19/20 years ago for all that. were does the time go eh ?

seeing that movie in more recent years i dug it more. agreed, the sequals kind of blow too.

This was discussed June last year.

Page 86 - 87 What are you watching thread.

My take on the last two movies after a rewatch
tys0n wrote: Sun Jun 10, 2018 3:10 am Just finished watching the last two over the past two nights, great movies, they highway scene in the second holy fuck.

I guess being in my early 20's and when the hype didn't meet my expectations had soured my view on them, but seeing how Hellboy would have been in his early 30's back then he would have had a bit more of a mature outlook.

My only real criticism of 2 and 3 is that they don't "blow your mind" like the first one did. As big budget dumb action movies they're just fine. The original isn't quite as smart as everyone makes it out to be.

Back in 1999 when the movie was released, I went 7 days in a row to see this, it was mind-blowing.
God, I love this film soooo much.

Hellraiser tv show

https://deadline.com/2019/06/hellraiser ... 202639696/

Think this could be great after the abortions that were 8 films made to retain the rights.

The first and second movies were classics in terms of themes, atmosphere and world building.

Yeah being raised on 80's horror Hellraiser was always my fav.

It's pretty funny. Fuck! They're getting all excited about The Matrix. LOL. *laughs loudly* This happens anyway...Ha, yeah that's right. Which one is the "fully sickest"?

*more chips*

*chewing* Yeah they do that here. The Matrix is like, yeah.....It's like arguing over which Van Damme film is....ha ha...*laughs*

OK. I've read....are you done? No... I'm getting my shoes on. We'll get a park...yeah, text her in the car. Wait til we're in the car. There's no time I don't want to have to pay for parking...

Some netflix watches:
the Golem was okay. Bit tame but movie hit the right notes. Acting of the lead was good.

rewatched Venom, hilariously liked that movie. Best surprise as expectations had been low but even in rewatch it remained great fun.

Mama (2013 one), good. Modern dark-morbid fairytale.

Seems like weeks ago we were talking about the Matrix. It's like trolling the USA for electing Ronald Reagan.

I feel this was his acting peak. How he didn't win an Oscar is beyond me
