Thus 7empest being the heaviest 20 minutes of TooL.

"Fear Inoculum’s ninth track, and final full-length piece, is called “7empest.” This is the epic marathon cut you’ve been hearing about for ages. “7empest” is roughly 20 minutes long, heavy as hell, and absolutely packed with riffs from Adam Jones."

Loudwire had to much focus on guitar anyway from what I read.

Interesting read. Gathering what I can from the album it doesn't sound like there is much 'Maynard' that we haven't heard already. Lots of instrumental pieces, but doesn't seem like mjk is very prominent in the songs we haven't heard.

I am interested to hear what they compared to Ticks and Leeches and Aenema though

Just comparing the revolver comments to this... Is track 3 a segue? Seems like we can count 7 distinct tracks from the loudwire review... Cctrip and track 3 would be segues? Plus the bonus track 10 for digital download?

It should be noted that the interludes on track 3, 5 and 10 will not be on the physical CD and will only be listenable on the digital version of the album.

Read the metalinjection review. More in depth.

But 3 Litanie was an interlude added after the listening session.
Track 5 legion is a interlude
Track 10 is a closing thing

And chocolate chip trip is the instrumental on the album.

Curious who will host the download for the MP3 card. Seems like it wont be an Itunes code.

Wow, we finally have validated track names?

Not sure how I feel about some of those titles... but I'm sure they will sink in. This has been a long time coming, and I have to admit, I'm getting a bit excited... down boy.

********************

On a different topic... from my first listen to Fear Binoculars, on the plane, and then non-stop all the way home, I had King Crimson vibes. It's mostly from Justin's killer bass line. Take a listen to Sleepless from KC, pay attention to the bass figure and tell me if you hear it.

Interesting these reviews are the first to unveil the tracklisting. Have to think the band releases the packaging or unboxing video soon.

There is one weird line in the metal injection review. About Invincible they mentioned that they did not get a tracklist while listening.
So I assume they got that list later. Now the question is: did tool shuffle?
Track 4: "Invincible"
Rob: This might've been my favorite jam. While we didn't get track names, this has to be "Invincible" based on what I heard from the live bootlegs.

Not sure I'm looking forward to all that "jam band" stuff. The vocal harmonies are what makes Tool really tick along, in my opinion.

Anyhoo...

We’re in for one hell of a ride folks!

I’m happy with the reviews, it sounds like the songs are more Pink Floyd-y, i don’t mind that because the boys are getting older and of course their music will change as well, natural progression.

I guess Danny is getting younger though, maybe that Ponce De Leon stuff was about him :-)

Who would've thought these 4 grey-haired bastards could keep their Tool hard for more than 20 minutes a time?

Good on you guys. Thanks for the new album
